Some dudes are just born lucky.
Pere asked:
Any idea when the flight form models will be implemented for worgen and trolls?
I'm not sure why they're not in now, but you can bet on their being implemented in the next patch.
JT asked:
Have there been any new class quests added in Cataclysm, or have there been any taken out?
Each class has a quest at level 20 and 50 to take you through Shadowfang Keep and Blackrock Depths, respectively, rewarding you a weapon and a hat, also respectively. Most other class quests (like the warlock dreadsteed quests) were either removed a long time ago or removed for Cataclysm.
Alpha5099 asked:
Is there anyway to get Chaos Orbs before 85? I was hoping to get my characters their engineering goggles at 81, but that may not be possible.
Considering that Chaos Orbs are BOP (think Primal Nether), the answer is no.
Charlie asked:
If I purchased the regular edition of Cataclysm and used the key for my account to start playing, then later on came across a copy of the Collector's Edition, will I be able to use the key from the Collector's Edition to get the pet?
Yes, you can get the pet by putting in the Collector's Edition key, even if you have the normal edition.
So if I have the digital and I buy the Collector's, will that put the same as buying it twice for the same account or can I use one of the 2 licenses on the other account?
Basically, I want to upgrade my daughter's account, but I'd rather keep the pet for myself. I'm already upgraded digitally.
Though I haven't been able to confirm if it's still the case, you used to be able to get a regular edition code back if you upgraded your account to CE within 30 days. Call Blizzard Billing and they may be able to help.

Is it me or is Deepholm painfully dull compared to the ther 80-85 zones?
Vladeon Dec 10th 2010 4:46PM
It's just you... you angry little woman.
Eliezer Dec 10th 2010 4:01PM
Free hats are only for Worgen, ther general public one is a 525 Tailoring Recipe. Forget where it comes from but I am sure you can find it on WoWHead or another site.

I recently rolled a Worgen Feral Druid. So, am I a Werewolf cat. Or a werecat wolf? (Geez, those feral bear-werewolves must be confused as heck, too.) I would be way more concerned if I weren't having so much fun on my itty bitty lycan kitty.
Draelan Dec 11th 2010 6:03AM
You think THAT's confusing, Moonkins are also known as Owlbears. That would make a Balance spec worgen a WereOwlWolfBear! .... Or something like that.
Drakkenfyre Dec 11th 2010 10:14AM
Be a Worgen Druid, then take up Alchemy.
You can be a
Worgen
Human
Cat
Cheeta

Seal
Bird
Dragon
Add in a few items, and you can be,

Going through the Forsaked starting experience, you fight against the ol' Ambermill dalaran mages. What puzzles me is that they are, to my best knowledge, fighting with the 7th legion and Gilnaes Liberation Front. So does this mean that effectively Dalaran is allied with the Alliance once again post-cataclysm?
Even if Dalaran city is still in Northrend and its a neutral capital, its still in a different lore time period since Northrend and outlands are not ''cataized'' and all its alliegances may not apply post-cataclysm.
Pyromelter Dec 10th 2010 4:24PM
The "Dalaran" mages that are in Silverpine are no longer a part of the Dalaran we know. The lore explanation is that those that stayed behind didn't believe in what the rest of the city was doing, so they stayed, and are sort of "lost in time" to that previous era, and are allied to the alliance. Unless something that I don't know of has changed, they've continued to be with the Alliance, and I'm pretty sure Alliance players cannot attack dalaran mages in hillsbrad.
BlindWorg Dec 10th 2010 5:12PM
Out of curiosity, where does it say that they didnt believe in what Dalaran was doing? Packing up and fighting the Nexus war seems rather life-important deal to ignore and that was before they allowed Horde in their city. Why they stayed behind may be explained in this http://www.wowhead.com/npc=2358/dalaran-summoner#comments.
Moving Dalaran was not a small feat. Massive relocation/teleportation spell combined with Dalarans critical location ontop of ley lines, correct me if im wrong, resulted in somekind of negative result. What that is i dont know but the pit is now infested with arcane elementals which may have a connection to it. As to regards to Ambermill well, you cant have a HQ in a ring of ruined buildings and a huge arcane pit :P

"Each class has a quest at level 20 and 50 to take you through Shadowfang Keep and Blackrock Depths, respectively, rewarding you a weapon and a hat, also respectively."
Why didn't Blizzard take heirlooms into account when deciding the rewards for these significant quests? I understand that not everyone has heirlooms and so would benefit from a quality weapon, but many of us DO have heirlooms and just sell this reward while waiting patiently for something to boost their non-heirloom slots (waist, cloak, legs, boots, just to name a few)
BlindWorg Dec 10th 2010 4:55PM
Heirlooms, how useful they may be, still require effort from your main character to obtain them and new players dont have means to even obtain them. The whole deal with them IS that you dont need to replace them in your leveling process and as such quest rewards are not designed with heirlooms in mind. Im sorry but your question seems rather pointless to me. You cant please everyone.
zweitblom Dec 11th 2010 3:39AM
The point of heirloom weapons is that you do not need quest rewards... I do not understand your question either, except in a 'I already have everything, but give me more' kind of way.
spamofchaz Dec 21st 2010 12:23PM
@Blindworg - the thing is, Blizzard could have pleased everyone by simply providing a quest reward that doesn't duplicate an heirloom slot. If, instead of a weapon, the quest reward would have been leg armor or bracers or a belt, everyone could have used it! Instead, they making the quest chain useless to a sizable minority of players.
@zweitblom - I don't mind weapons as normal quest rewards, or as dungeon drops or anything along those lines, but I was just wondering why they couldn't have made the rewards for these long quest chains items that everyone could use.

I haven't seen any reports with sales figures for Cataclysm yet. Did I just miss it or have sales not been as high as anticipated? I was expecting lots of reports about sales records falling etc.
Kyle Dec 10th 2010 4:22PM
What's next for Cataclysm?
It may be too early to be asking, but I'm curious if there's been any rumors or clues as to what content may be coming up in the next big patch. Not that I'm anxious to get there, I still have plenty of heroics and raids to do, but I am curious.
Haarits Dec 10th 2010 7:17PM
I'm hoping for a patch that furthers the Dwarves' story and either the Tauren or Forsaken for Horde, and updates Ironforge as well as either TB or Undercity, up to Org/SW levels of awesome. IF got the Council of Three Hammers, and some NPCs hanging around previously-abandoned buildings... not too much else. Haven't even explored TB & UC on my Horde toons, but UC could surely do with a big helping of the 'modern' Forsaken architecture we saw in Northrend and now in Brill, Silverpine, Hillsbrad, etc. Could be a Dark Iron/Grimtotem/Twilight Cult unholy alliance going on that could link it all together for a theme for the patch, and finally give us a legally-explorable Old Ironforge so we can free Magni from his 'carbonite' prison (or properly pay our respects if he is, indeed, dead). Could be an interesting spin to have him emerge, but free of the Curse of Flesh, ie Earthen again, and so now feels an affinity more for ALL dwarves as his 'children' of sorts, and seeks to strengthen their bonds.
I'm sure others--and Blizzard--could conjure up some better ideas of what to see in major patches, though :)

Why would the make Chaos Orbs BOP? Primal Nethers were completely fail as a BOP item, "Sure I'll mkae it, you just have to tank the dungeon run so I can get a nether" and they were eventually made BOE. Frost Orbs has some problems with people taking advantage of more polite gamers and waiting for everyone to Greed before they hit Need, but eventually they became a Greed Only item in the loot window. Then they gave us a wonderful vendore whom we could trade them to if we had no other option for using them.
Why would Blizzard go retrograde on this?
Pyromelter Dec 10th 2010 4:33PM
There is only one answer, and that is that the blizzard developers are human, and therefor make mistakes sometimes.
There is absolutely no good reason why they are BOP instead of BOE.
My understanding is that primal nether and frozen orbs originally were BOP too. It really doesn't make any sense at all, especially when they then change them to BoE. So figure eventually chaos orbs will be changed to BoE.
Crafting materials just should never, ever be BoP. Ever. Maybe some day blizz will figure that out, but for the time being, you just gotta suck it up.
Eddy Dec 10th 2010 5:26PM
I think they are BOP in the beginning of an expansion to slow down the crafting and to force more people into attempting heroics. An artificial limiter of how much stuff is on the market at a given time, I imagine.

Can you tell me how to pronounce Vash'jir? I usually say, "VASH-gir, VASH-jeer, VAG-i-sil... You know, the underwater one."
