Around Azeroth: Mecha-sheep
"One of these things is not like the others.," writes rodent-lover Cricetidae of <Bunny of Vengeance> on Azjol-Nerub (US-A). "I found this while exploring the waterfalls above Elwynn Forest. Inside the cabin? A very nice gnome, who will get very, very angry if you accidentally hurt his 'special' sheep."

Gnomes are fickle that way...especially the ones that tend toward a hermit's lifestyle. Let's not get into the special relationship with an engineering degree that focuses upon the mechanical and settles on a...sheep. It's just...ew.

You mean ewe, right? :P

you had a golden opportunity for a Monty Python reference and you threw it away.

That gnome might want to visit Fuselight-by-the-sea in Badlands :)
They have a healthier relationship to their sheep :p

...is this a Phillip K. Dick Reference? Do Gnomes dream of electric sheep?
jason Dec 11th 2010 11:14AM
I thought the same thing. Guess that would depend on the gnome's name. If it's Rick Deckard I'll flip.
Kurash Dec 11th 2010 12:42PM
I was hoping that the shepherd would be named Deckard, myself. :)

The sheep is called a Tekton. I forget what the gnome's name is (adam something or other), but it's not Rick Deckard. If you fly along the usual flight path from Stormwind to IF and veer slightly left and up, you'll see a cottage in the hills surrounded by tons of sheep.

Baron Soosdon did a video for that house before it was actually occupied in Cataclysm. "Happy Up Here" - gnome party house!

It's a reference to the Warcraft 3 ability to plant mechanical sheep. Whether that itself was a reference to electric sheep, I do not know.

That is what androids dream of.
Anybody?
Weyoun42 Dec 11th 2010 11:51AM
Gah. I shouldn't post when I'm sick. Philip K. Dick reference already made.

I recently stumbled upon this very cottage last night. Much to my surprise, after carelessly firing my rifle at said sheep, I got blown back quite a considerable distance when that sheep exploded. Luckily, I packed my parachute.

Do androids dream of electric sheep?

Heh, I was highly amused when I found this. I really hope Blizzard has stashed little Easter eggs like this all over the (new) world.

This has been here since Vanilla, but the only way to get their took around an hour of wall-hopping and invisible ledges ^_^
woshiernog Dec 12th 2010 12:11AM
Tick tock, don't disturb the flock.
bluespacecow Dec 13th 2010 4:27AM
Ha ha.
I saw this place had tons of sheep so I named it the New Zealand of Azeroth :D :D
