The Queue: Heroic as heck

I'm ready for heroics. Are you?
Astalnar asked:
Is there any chance worgen will get a unique DPS form (wolf instead of cat), same way as trolls got bat instead of bird?
Worgen already have a unique model for cat form, the same way trolls do. Worgen also got a unique flight form. If you're asking if Blizzard is going to scrap the unique cat form model they already gave worgen in favor of something else, the answer is assuredly no.
enache_andrey asked:
Any signs of the new Lich King (Bolvar Fordragon) in Cataclysm?
None yet.
John asked:
I have been disenchanting green random drops and quest rewards that are not upgrades or that are replaced. Lots of essences. Very very little dust. Also, more dust from weapons/shields/trinkets than from armor, which is backwards from the typical DE results for original/BC/LK items. Is this expected?
Right now it looks like dusts and essences have switched places in terms of rarity, though since we haven't had comment from Blizzard, we can't be sure that it's intended yet.
Neuropox asked:
Any way I can get my bank alt that nifty top hat that you get in the worgen starting quests? I know that one is BoP but is there another somewhere my main can farm up for my lowly bank alt NAZDAQ?
There is a tailoring recipe called High Society Top Hat that produces an item identical to Lord Walden's Top Hat.
Velleekwitay asked:
Why does Greymane hang out in Stormwind while the rest of the worgen reside on the other side of the world in Darnassus?
If you're in Darnassus, so is Greymane. If you're in Stormwind, he's there too. The entry into Darnassus for worgen indicates that Greymane is going to Stormwind to ask King Wrynn for help, which he provides -- if you bring a Horde character through Silverpine, you'll see that the 7th Legion is there fighting for Gilneas. The 7th Legion is the absolute best army that the Alliance has to offer, so their presence there says something.
Cudds asked:
Can you tell me how to pronounce Vash'jir? I usually say, "VASH-gir, VASH-jeer, VAG-i-sil... You know, the underwater one."
Pretend you raided Serpentshrine Cavern, killed Lady Vashj and looted her ear. In your bag you find a Vashj'ir.
Alternatively, it rhymes with "I think the best character on DS9 was Doctor Bashir."

The wedding questline in Twilight Highlands is hilarious.
No poop though ;(
Themock Dec 11th 2010 3:30PM
Hyjal does have the obligatory guy-in-the-outhouse quest chain.
Bended Dec 11th 2010 4:28PM
Cant forget the quest in Vash'jir where you give the lady a Case of Crabs.
Matthew Dec 11th 2010 5:59PM
Poop! It's what was for dinner!
(insert rodeo music here)

I've not encountered any Cata instances of ye olde poop quest yet, but I did talk to an NPC in Hyjal who called me an "ass-druid". :O
(Do "Druids of the Ass" get new donkey travel forms?)
JKWood Dec 11th 2010 7:53PM
That fella wouldn't believe me when I told him I was Sub, not Mut.
Helston Dec 11th 2010 9:23PM
Horde have a quest in Stonetalon where a goblin tells you to kill wyverns because of their habit of leaving poo everywhere. There are quite a few piles of the stuff near the quest giver, and goblins are continually running up to him, telling him they're leaving because of the stuff.
Adegan Dec 11th 2010 11:21PM
I'd rather be collecting poo than abducting children again. I don't care if it's naga fry or wolvar cubs, it's still disturbing.

That quest where you have to lure the naga children away is even more disturbing as a male priest...

Actually I started the Uldum quests today, and you start in a cage.. full of poop - if that counts? :)

I thought there was a quest in Hyjal where you had to get Corehound poop

"If you're asking if Blizzard is going to scrap the unique cat form model they already gave worgen in favor of something else, the answer is assuredly no."
Same model. Different skin. I normally let that particular bit of pedantry lie, but since I was going to add the following, I figured I'd drop it in.
Anyway, I'm glad to know I'm not the only person who thinks that Worgen in Cat form is bizarre and ridiculous. Dogs that turn into cats? The hell?
Michael Sacco Dec 11th 2010 2:16PM
I don't think "skin" means what you think it means.
They use the same rigging, if that's what you mean?
NeoCloud61 Dec 11th 2010 2:42PM
It is a different model. A cobbled together one though.
The body is the standard night elf model with a new skin for the worgen. However, the head is indeed a new model piece. Their face shapes are distinctly different from the night elf catform. Not by much and not nearly enough of a distinction for me to ever roll one, but they are different.
Drakkenfyre Dec 11th 2010 2:44PM
Skin = texture over the model. Often incorrectly used to mean the model. If the skin is changed, the object can look different. Does not neccesarily mean the model is changed.
Model = Item, character, thing created out of polygons. Without a texture is blank.
Rigging = The points where the model is attached to the skeleton, and how it animates in relation to other parts of the skeleton.
Skeleton = A structure underneath the model usually represented by a wireframe. Controls the animation of the model. Model animates around the skeleton. Skeletons can be swapped between models, and if the models are comparative, will not look too out of place. Example: Old Goblin models used the male Dwarf skeleton.
I think that clears it up.
If the Worgen cat form has a model with changes beyond just texture, it is indeed a unique model.

"Dogs that turn into cats? The hell?"
How about, "Elves that turn into cats? The hell?"
Or, "Cows that turn into cats? The hell?"
I hope this has clarified why it's silly to complain about having a "kitty" form for Worgen druids. The only other concern I've heard is that since troll druids have gotten a unique flight form model (which looks creepy as hell btw), worgen should at least get a unique feral dps model. However, worgen also have a unique flight form, it's just more subtle. Not to mention, Worgen have a unique non-shapeshift form also known as "You're a freakin WORGEN and you can turn into a human whenever you want, quit yer QQ."
TL;DR version: the argument, "Dogs =/= Cats" doesn't hold up because "Trolls/Cows/Elves =/= Cats." Additionally, trolls have a unique flight form while worgen have a unique default form, it's a push. Arguing about shapeshift models in a game is "bizarre and ridiculous."
Ianmis Dec 11th 2010 4:06PM
I was more curious if we might get different travel forms?
Troll = Raptor
Worgen = wolf
Tauren = Plainstrider
And for love of all that is holy, when are we getting a water form that doesn't look like something put together by LK's alchemist? lol
Nadia Dec 11th 2010 4:57PM
Cats and dogs...transforming into each other...Mass Hysteria!!!!"
