The Queue: Useful

There are few things more fun for me than discovering a use for an item on my own. After leveling up alchemy to 525 over the weekend, I came across the Deepholm teleport potion and initially just glossed over it as some gimmick potion.
Until I was stuck in Uldum. Then it hit me. Use the teleport potion to head to Deepholm, and then take the portal to Stormwind. Total win. I now have exactly 2.5 bajillion of those suckers made.
Happiness is me.
Logan asked:
I'm a mage; why is everyone telling me to sheep stuff?
Crowd control is an ability you have via the sheep spell. And with Cataclysm necessitating every form of CC available... well, that's just going to be the way it is for you. You'll always be asked to sheep something. The alternative to your CCing things is endless death on trash, so count your blessings that you can prevent that.
Bart asked:
When does the new PvP season begin and where are the new level 85 PvP vendors?
It should begin today, or if not, then next week. I'm writing this the evening before, so I can't know for sure.
Does the guild perk Mount Up stack with movement increasing effects like Crusader Aura?
Nope. I wish it would, though. There are also a lot of reports it doesn't stack with my druid's flight form (yes, just my druid's). For shame!
Pink asked:
The live podcasts all had taken place during business hours. Do the hosts secretly hate all of us who have day jobs? Why not have one occur during the evening hours next time?
We don't hate you; for the hosts this is our day job, and we really need to be sure we make ourselves available to our loved ones outside of work hours. I could (and sometimes have to) spend 18 hours a day working here, but as a rule, it's really important that we establish separation. This is one of the main reasons we don't do live shows anymore, except on special occasions. It's just too hard to do a time that works for everyone and allows us to have lives.
As for last Friday's show, I'm still editing it. The live broadcast was interrupted numerous times by terrible internet connection problems, and it's taking a bit of time to make everything jibe evenly remotely good. Look for it soon.

I'm sure they meant that they need to ensure work time doesn't interfere with game play time.
Dril Dec 14th 2010 12:02PM
They write about WoW. I see no reason why there should be seperatio between work and play.
mathias Dec 14th 2010 12:04PM
@Spark
By the gods, you might just be on to something!
Nitride Dec 14th 2010 12:37PM
It was sarcasm, obviously. Some people treat WoW like HALO, you show up, kill other players, and ask why things are suddenly different (where'd the portals in Dal go????).
Its a persistent world, it has backstory, it has progression, it evolves.

The Spice.
The Spice is life.
And how can this be? For he IS the Kwisatz Haderach!

Just to clarify, the podcast will be enjoyed no matter if it is live
or recorded. It is a great show in any form you put it in. Thank you
WoW Insider Staff for the wonderful shows and articles that you do put
out.
Loved ones are much more important than anything else.

Have yall picked the winners for the giveaways from a week or two ago?
carebear Dec 14th 2010 11:05AM
we need more armor in game that resembles the picture above
Evandrial Dec 14th 2010 11:10AM
because female gear isn't revealing enough already? i mean, this debate has been done tons of times before, but i'm still a member of the "plate mail thongs aren't very protective" school of thought
mathias Dec 14th 2010 11:17AM
Wait, plate bikinis don't make good battle armor?
Jabba would be surprised to hear that.
quasarsglow Dec 14th 2010 11:18AM
I totally want to see that on a male tauren!
DeathPaladin Dec 14th 2010 11:22AM
Only if it covers the same amount of skin for everyone for hilarity's sake.
My Draenei Paladin would like nothing more than to run around wielding a giant sword while wearing nothing but a plate loincloth and a smile. Unfortunately everyone has to rain on his parade by telling him that armor does nothing if it doesn't protect his vitals, or telling him to put pants on because he's making everyone sick.
Skarn Dec 14th 2010 11:22AM
Clearly, he's talking about the cat's armor.
Rowr!
Darky Dec 14th 2010 11:24AM
For a rogue it isn't about protection its about agility, for a hunter their pets tank so they just wear it to keep the weather out, plate fair enough but keep in mind by lore rogues dont get hit, and neither do hunters.
And I'm not saying this should just be for females, or the picture is something i want, im just saying there should be less armoury looking armour (also bring on chest plates that aren't just skin tight latex =_=)
Snuzzle Dec 14th 2010 11:36AM
I agree, give us more armor like the above, but make it available to male toons, too :P
ninjivitis Dec 14th 2010 11:38AM
@mathias Pretty sure Leia was just meant to lie there and look pretty, not kill Naga all day.
Grovinofdarkhour Dec 14th 2010 11:39AM
Grovin: [Trade]: WTB [Scandalously Snug Loincloth] pst
mathias Dec 14th 2010 11:58AM
@ninjivitis
Hutts? Naga? They're more or less the same to a marauding space princess.
