There are few things more fun for me than discovering a use for an item on my own. After leveling up alchemy to 525 over the weekend, I came across the Deepholm teleport potion and initially just glossed over it as some gimmick potion.
Until I was stuck in Uldum. Then it hit me. Use the teleport potion to head to Deepholm, and then take the portal to Stormwind. Total win. I now have exactly 2.5 bajillion of those suckers made.
Happiness is me.
Logan asked:
I'm a mage; why is everyone telling me to sheep stuff?
Crowd control is an ability you have via the sheep spell. And with Cataclysm necessitating every form of CC available... well, that's just going to be the way it is for you. You'll always be asked to sheep something. The alternative to your CCing things is endless death on trash, so count your blessings that you can prevent that.
Bart asked:
When does the new PvP season begin and where are the new level 85 PvP vendors?
It should begin today, or if not, then next week. I'm writing this the evening before, so I can't know for sure.
Does the guild perk Mount Up stack with movement increasing effects like Crusader Aura?
Nope. I wish it would, though. There are also a lot of reports it doesn't stack with my druid's flight form (yes, just my druid's). For shame!
Pink asked:
The live podcasts all had taken place during business hours. Do the hosts secretly hate all of us who have day jobs? Why not have one occur during the evening hours next time?
We don't hate you; for the hosts this is our day job, and we really need to be sure we make ourselves available to our loved ones outside of work hours. I could (and sometimes have to) spend 18 hours a day working here, but as a rule, it's really important that we establish separation. This is one of the main reasons we don't do live shows anymore, except on special occasions. It's just too hard to do a time that works for everyone and allows us to have lives.
As for last Friday's show, I'm still editing it. The live broadcast was interrupted numerous times by terrible internet connection problems, and it's taking a bit of time to make everything jibe evenly remotely good. Look for it soon.

@Snuzzle... it's not 1% Haste and people should stop treating it that way. It's a 1% increase to casting and attack speed. Still good, yes, but not nearly as good as 1% haste would be. Your DoT/HoT break points are still the same as any other race, and your GCD is still the same as other races (as in, you still need the same haste rating as any other race when trying to reach the 1 sec GCD). You just cast and attack a little bit faster.

It's not just the "min/max" benefits (although those are obviously skewed as well).
No race has a 'quality of life' racial anywhere near as good as the Goblin's portable bank or "Best Deals Anywhere".
Goblin racials are just miles ahead of everyone else.
Drakkenfyre Dec 14th 2010 1:52PM
Goblin's "Best Deals, Anywhere" is single-handedly the most OP racial in the game. "Here, free 1000g off for nothing? Sure. Free 4000g off something? Here you go."
I could see it granting the next level of reputation discount, so at Honored you got Revered discount, at Revered you got Exalted, but to automatically give them the Exalted discount on everything just for walking up to them? No, that's OP.
Some Horde cried over Humans getting 10% more rep. Goblins save literally thousands of gold for nothing. You want to buy a Traveler's Tundra Mammoth? That's 4000g off right there for opening up the vendor. And with items being more expensive now, can you imagine an item costing 50,000g off a vendor? Instant 8500g right there.
Hangk Dec 14th 2010 5:00PM
Drakkenfyre is DOWNVOTED for the TRUTH, man! I'ma tell Amnesty International!
Srsly, though, those Worgen and Goblin racials are straight OP, yo.
scherbaddie Dec 14th 2010 5:14PM
The "most OP racial in the game" is a non-combat perk (which is available to EVERYONE else, after a little effort)? Seriously?
Do you even know what "OP" means?

Clearly, they must think "OP" means "Over-Priced".
Muse Dec 14th 2010 7:32PM
Which is probably why many Alliance healers are race changing to human or gnome for the mana racials.

"Does the guild perk Mount Up stack with movement increasing effects like Crusader Aura?"
this might need checking
because the reason im posting replying to racial changes...
ive seen myself that dipomacy and the 5/10% buff from guild perks stack

WoW Insider doesn't hate people with day jobs. Just Europeans, Canadians and the Alliance. ;)
scyllz Dec 14th 2010 11:24AM
Who DOESN'T hate the alliance?
mathias Dec 14th 2010 11:26AM
The alliance, for one.
Elwoods Dec 14th 2010 11:28AM
and people called (cutaia)
(just joking oh fearsome floating head)
Aïur Dec 14th 2010 11:54AM
Well, gnomes hate the Alliance.
How can they not after all the bukkying?
Dril Dec 14th 2010 12:06PM
Aiur, FYI: Gnomes do not ride other Alliance races, hence are not bucked by them. Unless either the Gnome is very crafty, has mind-control and thus enslaves a Draenei to serve as his mount or if Mechanostriders are now sentient. The latter seems highly unlikely.
jrblackyear Dec 14th 2010 1:25PM
Why hate on the Canadians, eh?
Josin Dec 14th 2010 1:39PM
Hey, I work, and I've been pretty active on the live broadcasts...
Of course, we've been painfully slow the past few weeks...
Thyago Dec 14th 2010 2:33PM
GLORY FOR THE ALL...
hmmm, cookies!
Naloa Dec 14th 2010 2:36PM
@mathias
Judging by chat I've seen in battlegrounds, I wouldn't be so sure on that.

You forgot the Ocea..
Oh what's the point?
