For those of you wondering where the live podcast is, which was recorded last Friday and would be episode 173, well, it's still being edited. There was significant disruptions during the live show, thanks to Skype misbehaving, and it's taking a bit to get it to be ready for public consumption. Stay tuned though, it should be done in a couple days.

With McCurley's voice so well done in the recording compared to the others on Skype, it feels like HE'S hosting the show.

Earthen Ring Donuts! I love it!
I really want to see the Netherwing back, I ground for weeks for those guys and now I am bound to them in an unbreakable pact. Which mainly consists of them letting me ride around on their backs.
I'm happy to see anything that lessens the effect of Knaak on canon. I would love to see a War of the Ancients raid sans Rhonin, Krasus and Broxigar. Anything to quietly shuffle Knaak's work onto some other strand of time so we never have to see it.
Thrall won't become Earthwarder, Titans forbid. I rescued the next Earthwarder in the Badlands and I'm never going to delete that trinket.
The end of BRD is crazy weird now, almost as weird as Dustwallow Marsh is now. I'd expected to be fighting some kind of Dark Iron general who'd booted Moira out in the name of Dark Iron racial purity and not cooperating an inch with Ironforge. Instead ... we do the time warp agaaaaaiiiiin.
I really think that Blizzard needs to rework the Fury spec bonus Precision - it increases hit by a flat 3%. It *needs* to be a major, major increase to *offhand* hit. I think in a month or so Blizzard will see the major problems here and fix it ... but it'll take more wailing and gnashing of teeth to get them to hear it.
For that matter, other dual-wielding classes could also use offhand hit increases, if only to stop acres of QQ. If I were Blizzard, I'd just make offhand and mainhand hit one stat.
As for armour with human heads on it - Sylvanas' pauldrons have childrens' skulls on them. I rest my case.
WRT belf warriors: I'm still waiting for gnome hunters. :( They're the only race which can't be hunters, and when I ask why all I get from the peanut stand is gnomophobic racism.
The thing about blood elves is that they're willing to do anything that's necessary to preserve their nation. It's the difference between high elves and blood elves; the blood elves are perfectly fine sucking magic out of demons if it defends Silvermoon.
WRT to Sylvanas: there's an Argent Crusade apothecary in EPL who actually left the Forsaken because he disagreed with the direction they were going. I was super happy to see evidence of a Forsaken with a conscience, or at least one who wasn't blindly in lockstep with the Banshee Queen, but what was interesting was the way he said it - "She's not herself". That's a figure of speech, but what if it was literal? This expansion is all about old gods, and Sylvanas may well have picked up a shard or two of Frostmourne to boot. She could very well be under the influence of malign forces. It's not *necessary* to explain her actions (in fact I'd prefer it if we *didn't* have an "oh, she was mind controlled, we forgive her now" thing, because her actions are entirely unjustifiable) - but it's entirely plausible.
WRT to Dreadlords - all evidence points to the fact that they're very, very hard to permanently kill. The only ones we've not seen come back from WC3 are Tichondrius (killed by demonic Illidan) and Detheroc (killed by Varimathras) - and in Varimathras' case he complains bitterly about being forced to do it as apparently the one law the Nathrezim have is against killing their own kind ... my theory is that only Dreadlords, or possibly sufficiently powerful superdemons like Illidan (a demon hunter, to boot!), can permanently kill Dreadlords. I'm sure we'll see Mal'ganis again, but I also wouldn't be surprised to see Balnazzar and Varimathras again.
