Just wondering, what do other healers (non priests) do at the start of a pull? I often have a hot or shield sitting on someone when the pull happens which gives me immeadiate healing aggro on whatever didn't just get a sword smack in the forehead. On top of that, any other heal I throw out there before what GC calls "the first few GCDs" will tear the main target off the tank and over toward me.So I have to ask, what do the rest of you healers without Fade do at a pull? Because for me it's usually something like this:> Tank shielded and/or hotted> Tank throws weapon or shield> 1 mob running at tank, 3 at me> Fade; Heal cast on tank> my 3 mobs now running at tankAlso, fade has been indispensible with boss encounters where adds spawn. I can't imagine healing without Fade. I guess at least healadins have their bubbles...

I try to wait until aggro is settled on the tank to heal but I use windshear if I'm gaining threat too fast and if that doesn't work, my tank is usually a DK and I race to him to get on Death and Decay. Or stand near near them for any AoE tank abilities to pick them up. I'm usually with guild groups though so the dps will try to help pull them off of me if they see I'm in trouble and can't move cause the tank's about to drop.I do miss fade when I'm not on my priest sometimes. :)
Last I check, bubbles don't generate healing threat. Cast them out of combat if you have the glyph that heals for X% of the absorbed amount.Prayer of Mending healing is not 'your' healing, so it's threat doesn't affect you.Fade on cool down is your friend.I usually [disc priest] do PW:S and PoM before/as the tank runs in. I don't throw Renew priort to the pull, no point having it tick when he isn't hurt, so don't cast it until he has taken damage and generated threat. If I do a pennance, I often Fade immediately afterwards.Make sure you spec into all threat reducing talents, even if it means giving up some HpS.PoM is dead sexy, keep it on cool down always.[don't worry about 'wasted' charges].

Priest: Pre-shieldShammy: Earth Shield, sometimes pre-HOT (Riptide), and always a Healing Stream totemDruid: Pre-HOT (Rejuv)And I haven't played my pally since Cata started :)Yeah.... shamans are really in a good place for passive healing right now. A little too good? Only time will tell. :P
