Phat Loot Phriday: Zin'rokh, Destroyer of Worlds

"No, little elf," the orc responded. "I have taken up a new profession. I am an archaeologist."
"Well, in the least you can pronounce it," Lolegolas answered. "What inspired you to take up such a thing? I hadn't really considered you a history buff. Just ... kind of buff."
Throgg shook his head vigorously and pulled his massive sword from his scabbard. "Behold: Zin'rokh, Destroyer of Worlds."
Lolegolas cocked his head to the side, narrowing his eyes at the weapon. "I could have sworn I've seen that in ..."
"Let it go, Lolegolas. Just let it go."

I've been looking for a really good reason to max out arch...
*distracted by Zin'rokh*

Being able to duel wield this sword on my warrior, almost makes tanking worth it.
Stoop Dec 17th 2010 3:17PM
It's unique, can't dual wield unless you also have the old one.

all reports seem to say; maxing out Archeology is not needed to obtain this weap.
I also like its 'Bind on Account" so my Dwarf Arch can get it and pass it to my DK.
Heilig Dec 17th 2010 3:21PM
You don't HAVE to max out your archaeology to get it, but I can guarantee you that you WILL before you get it.

A skill of 450 is required before you have a CHANCE at finding Zin'Rokh. It is overwhelmingly likely that you will reach 525 long before you find the sword though. It's that rare.

you need 450 minimum arch to get epics, and yes it is indeed bind on account :D
Bronwyn Dec 17th 2010 9:17PM
Not all of them, I imagine it has to do with item level; I got the lvl 60 bound to account cloth robe at around 200 skill.

You need 450 Archaeology to get the level 85 epics. That is what people are discussing here.
There are some BoA epics found in Outland (L70 300+) and Northrend (L80 375+) and technically the skeleraptor mount is an epic which you can get at skill level 100. Some of the other purely aesthetic items are technically epic as well but once you have them, I don't think you'll think of them as exactly epic.
Wow, I can change into a wisp for 20 seconds! Only a 10 minute cooldown? The much easier to get hallows end wand allows you to be a wisp for an hour. Epic fail! :P

Me wanty.
johnthediver Dec 17th 2010 3:31PM
How do you get it?
Hangk Dec 17th 2010 3:37PM
Dig it out of the ground fragment by fragment with tiny shovels and brushes. Then carefully glue it together and display it in a temperature and humidity-controlled glass case.

After which, you take it out and hit stuff with it.
Shnitzki Dec 17th 2010 3:32PM

Fierna Dec 17th 2010 10:16PM
But... that's where I keep all my stuff!

Every Archaeologist in the game is going for either this or the Staff of Sorceror-Thane Thaurissan. I've seen people "tip" that you shouldn't think about solving anything Troll/Dwarf before 450, just pile up the fragments so you have 1k or so when you hit 450, that way you won't spend hours/days more after that to get enough pieces to solve it.
