I'm enjoying how many of these are also well itemized for Resto (now that spirit = hit, and we want a lot of both; so far as I can tell, both specs prioritize Int > Spirit (till cap for Balance) > Haste > Crit and Mastery).
I can heal/dps dungeons now in nearly the same set of gear. Though I suppose that will change once tier bonuses come back into play.

Yes! A balance druid should always favor spirit items over hit items just for that reason. It might upset the healers a little bit that they have an additional person to contend with (but it's only balance druids and elemental shaman, so two extra people usually) but they are fantastic if you ever switching between DPS and healing.
I love that I can double up on my gear.

I only have 1 set of gear right now, since moonkin & resto have nearly identical gear priorities for me. The sets will differentiate at the point where I'm equipping set pieces, but until then, I think trinkets are the only things I'll have to swap around.

@ Tyler...ShadowPriests are taking Spirit gear for hit too now. I love it on my Boomy, but not so much on my Priest unless I'm running as offspec which is rare lol.
