The Queue: There was a title here. It's gone now.

Answering reader questions, flailing wildly with a plank. Just another day at the office.
Kyle asked:
I'm considering leveling my shaman from 80 to 85 first. Which of the two new starting zones (Hyjal or Vashj'ir) provide the best lore experience for a shaman, or at least the most rep with the Earthen Ring?
There's no real shaman content in Hyjal; it's all druids all the time there. Vashj'ir, on the other hand, has you interacting and working with the Earthen Ring for pretty much any non-"Bring us food, it's cold and wet down here" quests.
Katie asked:
Help! I use your mobile site all day since it's blocked on my work computer. But yesterday and today, when I visit on my phone, it takes me to the normal, non-mobile website. Any idea how I can fix this?
Clearing your phone browser's cache and cookies should fix it.
Daynethebold asked:
Would it be possible for The Queue or WoW Insider to compile a list of prominent WoW blogs according to category? General, warrior, paladin ... etc. Something to go along with the Daily Quest.
Commenter DjLionheart nailed this one, but for those who missed it, we already have one!
Themightysven asked:
When I first got tired of being on a PvP server, transfers to normal servers were not allowed. But a recent blue post said people could transfer now. Which is it?
You could always transfer from a PvP server to a PvE server, it was just impossible to do it the opposite way. That changed a long time ago, though. You can go wherever you want from wherever you want as long as the servers are in the same region; that is, no transferring from a US server to an EU server.
Hollow Leviathan asked:
Question: Is there any indication that the Dragonmaw are anything but absurdly evil? All I know about them is that they enslaved the Red Dragonflight and are now coldly invading and murdering Wildhammer dwarves. Worse, they're BLOWING up their BOOZE.
The Dragonmaw are definitely bad eggs, but I have to hand it to Garrosh -- recruiting them is actually a pretty sound strategy. After all, when the world's biggest enemy is a dragon, who better to have on your side than the world's best dragonslayers?
Xantenise asked:
My arcane mage has this on his mastery skill: "Each point of mastery increases damage done by up to an additional 1.5%."
I'm confused. I have way more points of mastery than the 16% extra damage (12% without mastery points) would suggest -- my robes alone have 110. What's up? Does each point of mastery only give a random amount or what? I'm so confused.
Like any secondary stat in the game, mastery is given to you in the form of rating. The amount of rating required to acquire one point of mastery goes up as you level; at level 85, it takes roughly 178 mastery rating from gear to give you one point of mastery.

Has Blizz ever said anything about letting get rid of our default 16 slot backpack all new toons start with? It sure would be nice to put a bigger bag in that slot.
Ragnarthis Dec 18th 2010 12:11PM
*letting "us" get rid of the bag I...stupid iPhone. That's what my friends call the "iphail". :)
Neuropox Dec 18th 2010 12:16PM
Sadly there are no plans to let us change this out as of yet. I agree though id like to see this change, especially in the era of 20-24 slot bags for everything else
chaos5061 Dec 18th 2010 12:44PM
I remember reading somewhere on this site in a interview with someone or could be blizzcon that it's not possible because of code issues. If they tried it would break the inventory system.
zenpunk Dec 18th 2010 1:05PM
That's WoW's version of the urban myth. It would break the inventory system.. lol.
Boobah Dec 18th 2010 2:27PM
The last blue comment on the topic I recall is that the trick is to allow swapping the bag without allowing players to rid themselves of their last bag, leaving them with no inventory and an effectively unplayable character.
jrobusto Dec 18th 2010 2:44PM
They said they would consider it, but are worried about it allowing people to delete their backpack and have no space and be stuck. I imagine it's more they're trying to curtail the growth of bag space for reasons of server strain, and that would be a big leap in space for everyone at once.
BallsMcGee Dec 18th 2010 4:20PM
I think we can all agree. Right now with his ultimate power and leet skillz that Gamon should be warchief.
Tap Dec 18th 2010 7:05PM
Should be a quest that swaps your backpack. Don't let it be user swappable. Then you avoid the problem of no inventory.
BB Crisp Dec 18th 2010 5:07PM
This could be a great opportunity for an NPC gold sink. Provide a vendor that allows you to upgrade your backpack to a larger version for an increasingly ridiculous amount of gold (20-slot and 24-slot versions). It takes it out of the hands of the player and acts as an automatic swap. If it makes it easier, require the player to remove all items from the bag before the swap can take place.

It's on Blizz list of "Things we'd like to get around to doing, but we're not sure how to actually do it and we don't have the time to figure it out because there's more important things/easier things to do first" things.
Eddy_D Dec 18th 2010 6:44PM
Treat the bag slot as a special 1-unit bag? That way, the player has a minimum of 4 bag spots, even if they do not have any bags... No issue with trying to buy new bags then, as they automatically consume (auto-mount?) into an empty bag slot. Speaking of which...
Since 4.0.1, the bags have been auto-mounting (when you get them in a quest etc.) into available bag slots anyways... the whole argument may be a non issue now.
Any you can always buy a new hearthstone...
Noyou Dec 18th 2010 6:48PM
On the topic of bags...there is a bag vendor in SW (and probably Org) that sells the 20 slot specialty bags for 2-4 times more than they used to be bought in outlands. I think in Hyjal (and other new zones) you can buy the same/similar bags for the normal prices (12-14g) so what gives? Why is Blizzard being shady with their pricing? Just curious. Although it seems they want to fleece newer players.
Resident Horrible Dec 19th 2010 3:54AM
Just pretend you only get four bag slots. The backpack is a free 16slot storage. I don't think it's really that big a deal. Who cares if it's only 16 slots, it's free. You can put your other 20+ slot bags in your bank. =) If you really need the storage space, roll a Goblin and have your lackey open up bank tabs for you. Very useful.

So when can we defect from the Horde? I am tired of being Garrosh's bitch
Llowe Dec 18th 2010 12:12PM
I am also sick of being asked to spread Plague, mmkay Sylvanas? talk about bad eggs
Neuropox Dec 18th 2010 12:18PM
Welcome to the Horde of Garrosh, were morals are quickly becoming a thing of the past...
But seriously i wish they would just stop treating Vol'Jin like a gnome.... he is who should have been Warchief not Garoshh
Bogoradwee Dec 18th 2010 12:20PM
This sounds like a great idea! While I would never transfer over to alliance, because they're just as douchey, I would love to transfer over to the Twilight Cult! Can you imagine if we could play on Deathwing's side, but to keep from the game being really odd and messed up, we establish a revolution within its ranks and assist in taking him down from within. Like Death Knights, but more neutral. Alliance and Horde could still be angry at us because we're technically the enemy, so PvP would still work. Either that idea or some other neutral thing. The races could actually be the "factions"
Snuzzle Dec 18th 2010 12:54PM
I really, really had hoped Garrosh would have been at the least grievously injured during the intro to Twilight Highlands. No such luck though, of course he comes out of it unscathed.
Oh well. Back to the drawing board.
Udderpowered Dec 18th 2010 1:00PM
I'm fine with being evil, it's just that it's stupid evil with the current Horde. Orcs seem to have devolved back into war-obsessed idiots that hate humans for no apparent reason.
Bring on the Legion faction! I call shotgun on Shivarra priest.
