Just happened that as I gained gear and JP, gloves were my weakest piece and I still had a lot of reputation to grind. I'll replace the blues with the rep gloves once I get there.

That makes sense. I'm just more inclined to spend my JP on a piece I don't know when I'll replace, as opposed to one with a ready alternative.
