ultimately, removing BoP would actually allow crafters to make gear a lot quicker. currently as it stands it allows blizzard to gate the craftable gear progression of realms - something i'm sure they're keen to do so soon after the release of the expansion.. except it doesn't quite work for guilds that are able to run heroics all day. even then, what you find is that you will have 1 or 2 crafters per realm, per faction that control the market of craftable goods, allowing them to set their own ridiculous prices. I've already seen people charging upward of 10,000g per chaos orb they use when crafting items for you.
removing that limitation would free up the market and prices would settle down to what they are genuinely worth based on the supply and demand. it's called a free market. ;-)
