Actually you did start retaking some lost land. The plaguelands are both much closer to Alliance controlled than before, it's just that this action cause the Banshee Queen to throw a tizzy, get new allies, wipe out a few towns, and start a march on Gilneas. Oh and it makes Garrosh get all up in your grill when Camp T gets wiped out.

The Alliance ends up losing total lands controlled and it is a lot closer to even now. The Horde has a small lead now.
