Around Azeroth: Who's afraid of the morally ambiguous wolf?
There's probably a bit of a childcare crisis in Azeroth at the moment, what with Mommy and Daddy spending 20 hours a day out adventuring. The only choices for parents seem to be the orphanage and the creepy troll-run day care in the mountains of Nagrand. It's natural that wealthier parents would turn to nannies for their childcare needs.
But is Bisclavret of <The End> on Gilneas (US-A) really to be trusted alone with your infant? I hope that anyone hiring this suspiciously hairy nanny has one of those spy cameras embedded in a teddy bear, or else things might get ugly.

Now that's total commitment.
Think I'll keep my kids myself, though; thanks for the offer! I'm sure you're a great babysitter...
BlindWorg Dec 22nd 2010 10:30AM
Ooh, where DO you get a yummy orphan strapped around your stomach or is this just photoshopped?
Kalran Dec 22nd 2010 10:32AM
I would trust him.

this discounts the countless (okay, I think like 5) real life stories of children being raised by wolves.

@Sven,
Most of those stories are later found to be hoaxes, most notably the recent fraudulent Holocaust memoir. When feral children are adopted by animals, it is normally by apes or dogs.

tl;dr for the Wikipedia article:
Number of legendary cases of people raised by wolves: Many.
Number of confirmed real life cases: Zero.

I was unaware Around Azeroth accepted photoshopped images.
Snuzzle Dec 22nd 2010 11:42AM
Yes, because bizarre bugs never, ever happen in this game.
Now granted, I'm scratching my head to figure out how this happened, but I'm also not immediately hopping to "SHOPP'D!"
I'd really love to know the story behind this, the real one that is.

its not photo-shopped, the baby is strapped on its mothers back, i simply stood over her and zoomed in. Go to WPL and do some questing!

I just had to comment on the name "Bisclavret" which is possibly the greatest worgen name I have yet seen. Hooray for British Lit!

Yay for this too. Much better than the names prevalent on my server, Saurfang-EU - I'm called Volpone after the Ben Jonson play, but I mostly see things like Sniffmybutt or Holyworg running around.
I have however seen an ordinary human called Reynardine, which is the name of a werefox from another English ballad. The guy playing the guitar is the player.
