why do I feel that Leather working is the redhead step child of the crafting profession? it has no gold make potential/ no mount nothing needed for raiding am I wrong and not seeing it???

Who else would make physical damage & tanking leg enchants? They're always needed for raiding. LW also has some pretty good "LW only" bracer enchants, which are insanely cheap (think Inscription shoulder enchants). Besides, it's way early in the expansion....there will probably be more stuff added.
