Gold famers are in all nations.

The game is region-locked, those Chinese gold farmers can't get the gold to you. So when you have one whispering you, the gold is on that server. However the person doing the whispering or the body-spamming might be in Asia. But they can also be in your own country.

That's why when there are news, for example, of the game going back up on China, people making comments about "gold sellers on the rise" are stupid.

The thing most often forgotten is that the people selling you gold... are on YOUR server. So sure they might have farmers over there, but they'll be playing on US servers anyway.

Every time I see someone correlating Asians with gold farmers, I want to punch a penguin.

I'm not saying it is every fair to stereotype and I have no doubt that there are farmers all over the place, with the media coverage focusing on the Asian gold farms that was the first thing that came to my mind. Since I've never purchased gold and use a spam blocker addon I don't really have the best grasp on the process and how it works.
