I think most people create a class of character with a particular role in mind. I think there may be merit in her thought though. Studies have shown that women do have lower spatial awareness than men. I don't see why that wouldn't translate into role selection while playing a game that relies heavily on such skills.

She's right though. WoW's population is large enough where a correlation (if there is one) can be made.
