Merry Christmas, everyone, from all of us at WoW Insider. It's been an amazing year, and now in the season of giving as we approach a brand new year, I can only give you my thanks. Christmas means a lot to me, not for any reason but that it's wonderful to spend time with family and friends. We all find our own reasons to celebrate this time of year, and for me, Christmas has always been Second Thanksgiving -- I get to revel in the happiness and good will that I've tried to cultivate all year.
Also, Christmas sucks. You know why Christmas sucks? Because my 10-man is all away for the weekend, which means the Omnitron Defense System has to wait. Ugh. I swear, can you guys just forsake your family and friends for the sake of me getting purples? I mean, really. Get in the giving spirit and help me get epics.
How are you guys and gals spending Christmas? What are you most excited about, and have you gotten anyone a really great gift?

Hiding from my family and working on Archeology while I watch the best holiday film of all time, Santa Claus Conquers the Martians, as presented by Joel and the Bots.

It's the only way I stay sane today.

Watching a really old Eddie Izzard VHS and wishing I could join my other half in Azeroth, but because I play on my PC, it's not the most portable.
On the upside, I did get the J!nx murloc shirt and an awesome tattoo.
Happy holidays, folks. And remember the reason for the season - the tilt of the Earth away from the sun (for those in the Northern hemisphere, anyway) and all the ancient stuff that cultures have overlaid on to that ;)

I also have to work tonight (and I just got home from last night's shift). So I'll be spending the majority of the day sleeping.
The best Christmas gift I got was my boyfriend returning to WoW... I know that sounds dumb, but I've been bugging him about it for AGES and he's finally decided to give it another chance. I'm working hard to make the experience ultra-awesome for him so he doesn't get bored and abandon it yet again, heh.
I was pretty psyched about the Space Hulk board game I was able to get for him; he's wanted it for a long time but didn't want to spend so much money (it's out of print and a cult classic with tons of super-detailed miniatures, so definitely not cheap). My mom, grandma and I all went in together for it... they were stoked because they usually just give him money in a card (which he is uncomfortable with) and this was actually meaningful, I was stoked because I was actually able to genuinely surprise him, and he was happy because since we all paid together, he didn't have to feel guilty about any one of us spending an *obscene* amount.
Forgive my babbling, but even though I have to work, I feel pretty good about Christmas this year! ^_^

Right now, I'm just reading up on some WoW while I wait for the rest of my family to get up so we can all open our presents together. Last night however, I had my cousin, her husband, my uncle, and my grandmother all come over to my house to celebrate.

Happy Chanukah!

Merry Christmas!!
And I know I may get downvoted for this, but I'm appreciative that you said that instead of happy holidays and such. While I don't dislike other holidays, I'm still a Christmas person. lol

Got my wife everything on her "list". She actually had one this year. Too practical, that one. But it made me feel good. And I got a Kindle. And I guess a mouse is on the way. She is also the worst procrastinator ever. Gotta love her. Anyway, traveling to my sisters house to spend time with the family in about an hour. Can't wait. Family time is always the best.

To answer the first question, I'm spending mine with family and relatives today (we don't do Xmas Eve) at a church instead of at a house this year.
And I'm looking forward to getting a gift card to buy a new keyboard and or mouse.
Merry Xmas all, have fun and be safe.

I've finally got Cataclysm for Christmas. :D

I'd like to wish a Merry Christmas to those who are serving over seas in a land far from home, and a very special one to those family members who have someone missing around there table this year.
This is my first Christmas home (first one in 10 years, and first one home in a year that begins with a 2! [for those lost, last time I was home for Christmas was '99]) and I can say while I wear the uniform, my family and love ones carry the burden.
Here's to you, and hopes that they come home safely.
