F-I-X DRUID TANKS Ghostcrawler!!!! How dare you say that you are fine with where they are overall and the nerf us even further?!?! You take away our aoe aggro ability in cat. and tell us we need to tab target... Then you tell everyone else they need to attack on assist!!! Really?!?! Seriously?!?! Get a clue Blizz!! You talk about how "balancing the ge is always your top goal and then you completely redesign the classes with every major patch! You can't balance if we are starting from scratch every major patch/expansion!!! You can't seem to make up your mind what you want this game to be or look like. Quit looking at your data spreadsheets and LISTEN to your supscribers: FIX DRUID TANKS!!!!!

Oddly it seems now that warriors, which were one of the hardest to aoe tank with in wrath is now fairly good at it, compared to druids especially.
Crazy to see the buff nerf circle spinning so rapidly.

Druid tanking and warrior tanking both seem to be fine to me. I know two people who play each of those classes/roles very well and both seem to be at about the same amount of tps, aoe aggro, and survivability. If there are problems with the tanks out there, I would venture to guess that it's an issue with the actual player than the class right now.

I think druid tanks just aren't used to the "new" way they should be tanking. I've had several druid tanks that have been really terrible (this coming from their healer), but I'm pretty sure that's not a class design flaw, that's a player-playing flaw.

Uhh, well... I'm fairly negative about my bear right now, but I'm nowhere near that negative.
Am I able to tank successfully right now? In heroic 5-mans at least, yes. Is it very fun? No, not much fun at all. Overall I enjoy the challenge that the new dungeons provide, but compared to my other tanks (85 pally, 78 DK, 62 warrior), the bear feels like a liability.
I still have no ranged silence.
I have 3-4 seconds of AoE dead time, which is unfortunately plenty of opportunity for adds to get stupid.
I don't feel like I have a big slam type of ability that will, even for just a few seconds, secure threat on a stubborn add while I tab/click away to another target. Mangle doesn't feel like it, Maul still feels best used glyphed as a pseudo-cleave, and Lacerate definitely doesn't feel like it.
But worse than threat, I feel like a liability to my healer. My few small defensive buttons feel mitigation-based, and weak to the point that I don't feel them--I'm just hitting them on cooldown most fights and hoping that the numbers work out. LotP self-heal feels non-existant, although that may have to do with low crit rates at this level. Survival Instincts and Frenzied Regen are nice cooldowns, but I can only hit those once per fight--usually saving Frenzied Regen (followed post-heal by a pathetic Innervate) for when the healer is going OOM.
In short, I don't feel like I can do enough to make the healer's life easier.
Compare to a pally tank--Word of Glory has become a fairly regular rotation choice for the pally. Do I want to lay on more threat w/ a Shield of the Righteous (or Inquisition) or do I help the healer with a small/medium self-heal? The same can be said of DK's death strikes, although on boss fights I'm guessing death strike is less of a "choice" and more baked-in to the rotation.
As for warriors? Eh, mine's a bit small to judge, but I'm guessing Victory Rush/Impending Victory/Blood Craze is of limited utility... But prot warriors seem mto have twice the offensive toolkit that a bear does. They've got a fun, complex playstyle that also incentivizes mitigation (beyond simply maybe-not-dying).
So the bear really feels like it's in a no-man's land as tanks go. Less utility to the healer than a pally or DK, and far fewer interesting offensive abilities than a pally or warrior... Like I said at the beginning:
Can a bear tank right now? Yes.
Is it fun? About as much fun as pooping in the woods without a rabbit in reach... Which is bear-speak for no.

I play a druid tank. And it is FUN! (I played paladin/dk/warrior tanks in wrath)
Raiding and heroics both fun! I have 6 raid bosses down so far in 10 man.
Contrary to what someone else said, we do have a ranged interupt, and it's great. It's cheap, very short CD, and it's a charge FFS! I feel like a warrior almost I can charge around so much when talented to 10 seconds. I prefer it over Heroic Throw or Avengers Shield or Strangulate any day.
#1 reason druids are the best tanks for heroics. >>Roots.
