To anyone who might be reading this post, I highly highly... HIGHLY recommend you queue for only Alterac Valley. You can hide in the background, give support/healing spells or ranged dps, and keep yourself away from trouble while you rack up honorable kills.
The random bg and the holiday arathi basin might get you some bonus honor, but most of the other bg's will put you much more in danger of getting killed (and therefore losing your gnome costume buff).
You will most likely be in the AV queue for much longer than AB or random bg, but it's far better to wait it out and get your HK's that way then to put yourself in harms way in any other battleground.

After reading this blog I feel that I have gain a lot of good information regarding the topic which will definitely help me in future. Blogs like these should be really kept updated such as this blog.I personally thank to this blogger for doing such a great work.
