Remembering Characters We Lost in 2010 is a brief memorial video created in honor of those lore figures who helped make WoW a rich, engaging story. These are the faces (and corpses) that helped define our experience in the game before Deathwing burninated the countryside. Jesse Cox is the creator of this movie and he cautions us that it might be somewhat sappy. I think it's just sappy enough.
The song is New Lang Syne by Jim's Big Ego. It does a marvelous job of capturing the essence of WotLK's departure into Cataclysm. Interested in the wide world of machinima? I almost vendored the slump family fishing pole the other day but then I remembered that the quest its from is no longer available. Made me a little sad as that was one of the first quests I did on my first alt.
Wizbang Cranktoggle is one of the NPC's who made it out of Auberdine, and has you do a much-shorter quest chain to figure out what's corrupting the wildlife.
Seconded! I know it would be a huge article, but i'd love it if someone would tally up the death count for Cata and give a small bit on who the dead were. This video really made me wonder, like I knew I should know the names but just couldn't recall.
And in parting, RIP Loramus Thalipedes. I really liked that NPC. :(
But... Bolvar isn't dead. And the Wrathgate event happened with the launch of Wrath, so Dranosh died in 2008. Then the first four ICC bosses were released in December of 2009, so neither of his deaths were in 2010.
I'd disagree with the statement that Bolvar isn't dead. I think he's currently some sort of undead, trapped in a horribly mauled body. Poor guy. :( I suppose it all depends on whether you think undead is dead or not.

The singing wasn't that great (not that i could sing it better) but over all it was pretty good. each NPC was timed well with the lyrics
