Breakfast Topic: Looking forward to 2011

This year, I can finally raid the way I want to raid and not be forced into running the same raid instances multiple times in order to feel like I've completed enough. The split between 10-man and 25-man raids is slowly going away, turning raid size into a choice that has little to no impact on the achievements or gear you can receive. In 2011, you'll see either the implementation of or the mentioning of the new legendary weapon, which will be found in both 10-man and 25-man raid instances.
I am very much looking forward to the first big content patch of Cataclysm, which I'm guessing is going to hit around April or May. The cinematics and machinima teams outdid themselves in Cataclysm with the worgen and goblin movies, and I am extremely interested to see what they have in store for us with the first Catacylsm patch trailer. Those trailers have become one of my favorite things about WoW in the last few years, and I don't think the next one will disappoint. Hopefully it includes the Firelands, because I am really, really excited to finally break down Ragnaros' door and give him a piece of my mind... again.
Finally, I am really looking forward to BlizzCon this year. I know, it's really early to start pondering and wondering, but I had such a wonderful time in October 2010 that I can't wait to get back to it all. 2011 is one of those years where we get to ride high on our new content, the challenge is fresh, and the world is still full of mysteries and things to do. 2010 felt a lot like a slog, as the entire year was dominated by Icecrown Citadel and lots and lots of snow. This year, I think we're going to see things change a little more dramatically and dynamically from years past. As with Cataclysm in general, I think Blizzard has really grasped the way to create this content and revitalize the player base.
So, here's to another great year in the World of Warcraft. 2011 promises to be one of the best yet. What are you looking forward to this year?

OK....
I am always very good at this. Actually my predictions on some Wow hating webhsites were so freightingly accurate these ,last 4 years , I was constantly banned from them :)))
In Feb Blizzard will announce their 13 million subscriber base.
At the end of the year 2011, Cata will launch in China.
The next BlizzCon will introduce a new expansion to be launched in Mar/apr 2012 and my guess it will be all about replacing TBC- Outland (perhaps even the quest lines in Northrend) and ...
... attention folks: a possible new FACTION. : introducing a 3 way ALL OUT war in WOW.
All signs are there: Outland must be redone or deleted and a 3 faction War has the advantage to renew the game even more without introducing all new class balances.
Diablo 3 I don't know, it could even be postponed once more. First priority stays WOW for the moment for Blizzard.
I don't think they will say anything about their new MMO yet.
Oh and SW TOR will fail as a multi million base MMO. 500K at most, puting EA into a dive on the stock market.
A pîty the WOW computer based collectable card game will only be launched in 2012 as I will be playing it 10 hours a day.
;)

Dude, are you typing with your hands?
More in context, what makes you think you know all this to be true and how would any of these "freightingly accurate" predictions have you banned from WoW-hating websites? People are upset that you're going to play some future WoW online card game until you waste away?

Additionally, can you enlighten the community as to who will make up this third faction, which will break battlegrounds and require a hell of a lot of new space (you may have noticed there isn't much room on Azeroth anymore, and Blizzard wants to use some seed races in the future thanks to the response to the Draenei).
Also, that's a crapload of work to get done in just over two years in terms of balancing.

Actually there's going to be a fourth faction added too, allowing the two new ones to effectively replace the Horde and the Alliance.
I should know, I'm pretty good at detecting these things.

Having mana!

The new leveling experience on my Worgen and Goblin, as I am currently rather put off by the dungeon content on my 85s, fellow tanks can imagine.
Krz Jan 1st 2011 9:24AM
Suck it up princess :P

Ah, cute, no, the content isn't really that hard, it's just, how do I put this delicately, the other people make the content...The View?

What's worse as a tank? Having a healer who still hasn't adjusted from Wrath healing and goes oom in 30 secs or having dps that don't know how to cc (or refuse to if they do) and don't focus fire? If you use the random dungeon finder, you'll never have to answer that question because you'll get both.
Revrant Jan 1st 2011 9:16PM
You forgot yelling at the tank about how this isn't Wrath anymore, who admits he hasn't done HoO yet and is asking what needs to be CCed FFed and what order is best, all the while not being told the entirety of a boss fight and almost losing the healer to snake-rape on the first boss.

Maybe it's just my server, but you seem to be in the minority. Whenever I get into a random heroic group, if the group has a particularly tough fight or wipes on a boss, about 85% to 90% of the time the tank or healer will leave. Always without saying anything, and oftentimes in the middle of a pull. Heroic Stonecore is hilarious. So far the worst I've seen is 3 tanks and 2 healers leave before the first boss. These people also never ask for CC, ask for/discuss fight strategies and don't mark targets. Thank you for at least trying to work with your group rather than just charging forward and ragequitting when that doesn't work.

I'm looking forward to all the new content we will be presented with in 2011 as well. I am so glad WoW end game has gotten back on track to provide that real satisfaction and sense of group accomplishment upon defeating involving and well thought out bosses.
Mostly I am looking forward to this hangover going away later today, the sushi at 3am was not such a great idea upon reflection.

I'm just waiting for 2012 so I can tell all the doomsday believers I told you so.
Anon Jan 1st 2011 9:56AM
Man, won't your face be red if the Earth gets destroyed.
razion Jan 1st 2011 10:40AM
I don't think there would be much of a face to get red WITH...
Birk Jan 1st 2011 10:42AM
No worries, there's that dude in Arizona who is going to jump off a cliff through a porthole and save earth before the doomsday.
We have nothing to worry about.

Happy First Hangover of 2011 everybody!

I'm looking forward to actually seeing raid content in 2011. The guild I'm in is made up of really cool people, some of whom are organizing regular and heroic guild runs to help people get geared up, and I've already said that I want to join in that. Just need to get my hunter leveled up. So my first major action in WoW in 2011 will be getting him to level 58 this morning... it's Outland time. ^_^
Also learning forward to learning how to both tank and heal in 2011. Yesterday, I had two PUG groups that convinced me that I can do better than some (definitely not all, but some) people who are doing these jobs. It's time to learn something new.
Tim Jan 1st 2011 10:22AM
I would have some mana for my drood.
And some of the small bugs I've been experiencing would go the f**k away already.
