The Queue: Wake up

Am I talking about Alan Wake or falling asleep with The Queue open in my editing software? In your heart, you know the truth.
Borayar asked:
Just finished the Sun Oblisk quest in Uldum. Why is the meteor beam shooting toward Azeroth's core? Titan engine? Ragnaros' goblin BBQ? Twilight Hammer's community spa tub?
Uldum conceals machinery that can be used to re-originate Azeroth -- that is, scrap the whole darn thing and start over. It's likely that this is these are the devices that would've responded to Algalon's request should we have failed to change his mind.
Styopa asked:
Why don't they just raise Cairne Bloodhoof? I mean really, no lvl 14 priests anywhere around?
It's important to make a distinction between game mechanics and lore. You couldn't use a Phoenix Down on Aeris either.
Thedoctor2031 asked:
I've been wondering about raids. Which raid are we supposed to go to first? Are all of them of the same difficulty level? Argaloth wasn't to difficult of an encounter when my group tried him, but Halfus absolutely destroyed us. Magmaw also looks rather easy but than the Omnitron Defence System looks rather intimidating. We don't even think we should try council at the Four Winds. Any thoughts?
All of the currently-available raids are on the same tier, so they should provide similar challenges, though some specific encounters will definitely be more difficult than others (just like every tier before this). And, just like Wrath's Vault of Archavon, encounters in Baradin Hold will be much less difficult than encounters in "real" raids.
Biggjudicem asked:
For the 12 days of Winter Veil giveaway, are all the winners going to be announced at the end, or is is when each individual 'day' ends is the winner informed right away?
We inform the winners privately, though it may not be until a few days or more after the contest ends.
DarkFinch asked:
Characters have been able to buy racial war-mounts using Honor points for quite some time. As a horde character, I've managed to get all 5 mounts... But now I'm wondering, why hasn't Blizzard given a war-version of the Goblin trike? Has Blizz mentioned anything about adding such a mount to the game?
Black elekks and hawkstriders weren't available until a few patches into Burning Crusade, so if we're getting a PvP version of the goblin trike, it may not be for a while yet.

I'm not sure if they'll even add a PvP goblin trike considering that us Alliance are already QQ'ing so much about not having a worgen racial mount. In the grand scheme of things it doesn't really matter much adding two mounts but think about the progression of things. If they add another Argent Tournament type thing and goblins and worgens are there then there's another 2 mounts and we'd be up to 5 for the horde and 0 for the Alliance. I'm not QQing just saying there's a larger picture out there and I think they are trying to limit it a bit.

You know, for balance sake, we could just give Worgen a mount. They used horses in Gilneas, why not just have a different model horde for them? If this makes running wild too awesome seeing as they can both mount and do that now, give Goblins Rocket Boots. It's not the same animation, obviously, but it just lets them run really fast.

Phoenix Downs only cure K.O. I wanna know why we didn't just chuck a soft on Seto.

Petrified or not, those arrows stuck in him still look pretty painful.

One time, I got a guy mad because I spoiled the ending to DS9. I told him it's been over 10 years (at that point) and that sorry, but the ending's been out there for awhile.
This was before the DVD sets exploded, basically.
Evelinda Jan 4th 2011 8:10AM
yeah, i always rationalised that one... that basically, when a char is "killed" in combat, they're just unconscious; you can use a phoenix down to revive them, right up until you ALL get knocked out... at which point the monsters eat you.
squig_masta Jan 2nd 2011 2:11PM
Also, since I don't see how they could create a 'black' running wild ability for the worgen pvp mount, that'd be two extra mounts the hoard could get. Not saying they wont do it, but if they did I could only imagine the pages and pages of 'DAMN BLIZZARD HATES ALLIENCE' or 'GHOST CRAWLER WANTS TO NERF MY FACTION.'
Actually, that sounds like a fun read. Black Goblin Trike for 2011!
Hob Jan 2nd 2011 2:27PM
But there's no saying that they won't add a worgen mount in a later patch, and either remove running wild (ala Plainsrunning) or just keep it as a racial.
The majority of players hated the proposed pig-bear-wolf mount, so Cataclysm shipped without it. Personally, I think a haunted stagecoach would be extra-awesome, and it would fit the theme for the worgen.
Aarcial Jan 2nd 2011 2:29PM
That would make a THIRD mount the Horde gets, there's a goblin trike for level 20, turbo trike for when mounts didn't scale with skill, and the awesome stylin' black war trike with skulls and flames on the side and in the engine would make a third.
Vaeku Jan 2nd 2011 3:05PM
@Hob
If by "haunted stagecoach" you mean one that doesn't have any kind of horse attached to it, well that's a bit too Harry Potter-like (since they had something similar, although they were pulled by creatures that could only be seen by those that had seen death and didn't just move on their own).
Neat idea though...
