Around Azeroth: Fashion victim
Does anyone here have a lint roller? I swear to Elune, the moment I put on a nice little black dress, it's instantly covered in fur. Plus, it smells like a wet dog has been rolling on top of it. And where did these claw marks come from? That's it -- when I get home, the cat is going to get such a lecture. (Thanks to Jacinta for the screenshot!)

I must say, Blizzard has actually grown up. From the adolescent (spelling?) "FWILF" fashion in vanilla thru the "clowns and striptease" fashion of BC, to the puritan "practical armor couture" of WotLK, fashion has gone from "less metal more skin" to "practical metal with sensual skin". No naked midriffs, bare arms (when approriate).
Skimpy armor outfits is (a bit) fun, but five minutes staring at Glorious Breastplate on a draenei actuall gets a bi annoying. Fifteen hours of deathsilk robes on the other hand ... eventually I start thinkin 'bout my 'lock toon "when does she ever take a shower!?".
It's been 85 levels. I've swam (swum?) through water, muck, Disgusting Pools Of Yuk (in Ouland). I've slaughtered tens of thousands bleeding beings of flesh, water, reanimation, slime, stone, fire.
Maybe I should head for the power showers on the border between Hyjal and Azshara. Waterfals, a thousand feet high or more, should get the muck out of the pores.
Or maybe they should install public showers in Major Cities?
(Imagine a buff - "Smells like Clean Spirit; Attack, spell power etc increased by 2200, last fifteen minutes And - you smell good!" :) )

There already is an item which gives you "You smell good", can't remember what it is. One of the perfumes I think.
What would be real nifty is when we get wet, if our clothes slightly darkened, and dripped a little bit when we got out. Nothing long-term, just for a few minutes. Of course this isn't possible without serious reworking of the graphics engine.
I remember when playing Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine for the Nintendo 64, I was blown away when after getting out of water, Indiana would put his hat back on, and would drip for a few moments.
(And because I know I will get that one person who actually knew about that game and thought it was pc-exclusive, no, they released it for the Nintendo 64 in limited quantities, and it never had a retail release.)

I upvoted you just for the "Smells like Clean Spirit" part.
Side note, this inspired me to look up Smells Like Teen Spirit on Wikipedia. Its' hard to believe something so fresh in my memories came out in 1991(and was available on cassette!)
Now I feel old.

@Drakkenfyre
Tomb Raider Anniversary did the same thing. Lara would get out of water and her clothing would slowly dry out. Of course, you're only looking at three or four outfits and a single model in that game, compared to zomgmillionsofcombinations in WoW.
It would kind of get messy when a worgen got out of a puddle though - can you imagine them shaking off the water?

I have Tomb Raider Anniversary, I had forgotten about that.
I wouldn't go so far as having a shaking animation, but simply dripping.
Team Fortress 2 does it as well. When a character gets out of water, they drip for a few moments. It's handy when seeing someone come around a corner. If you are playing a map where an access point is only near water, if they drip it means they might be a disguised spy coming into that area.

I LOVE Gilnean style. So much so, I created a warlock just to get my bank alt something classy to wear.
...what? I'll send the robes back. *shifty look*
