Refusing to tank/heal "until people learn to DPS" is like taking away someone's bike until they learn to ride. No one learns to be a better player in dungeons by sitting in a queue.

I'm not arguing with your ultimate decision not to tank -- if you'd rather be a mage, go be a mage. But as a tank, as said elsewhere, this attitude makes you part of the problem.
