WoW Moviewatch: Among The Blood Elves Days 5-6

In the first episode of Among the Blood Elves, Britty went to Silvermoon in an attempt to infiltrate and learn the secret culture of the blood elves. That attempt has seemingly gone well for Britty as she joins a throng of Blood Elves to see their idol, Justin Beaver. In Among The Blood Elves Days 5-6, we see the horrifying results of that meeting. It's not for the faint of heart, so be sure you know what you're getting into before watching the movie.

I'm an undead in a blood elf guild, and i feel sad to say my guild can feel like this at times.
I guess it has to do with the majority of teenage girls and boys in the guild.
Linked this on the guild forum not long ago... I almost got my head ripped off.

Meh. The first two were pretty good, but this one...eeeeh. Justin Beiber jokes are "easy" and overdone, if you ask me. It's like making fun of Twilight; people just seem to do it because they think they can get a cheap laugh out of it.

My opinion, though. And I did really laugh at the "best video eveeeer" thing, as much as I would like to say I did, heh.

More "Blood Elves are gay/ Blood Elves are dumb blonds" and Justin Bieber jokes. Did I tell you the one about this chicken that crossed this road this one time? How about the one about the sad horse that walked into a bar and the bartender, as usual, had something funny and/or ironic to say.

Goblins are greedy

Every laughs at the stereotypes Blizzard gives to races, but suddenly Blood Elves are the ones being joked about and suddenly everyone gets defensive.

Blood elves are heterosexual, get over it.

You do understand the fact that half of the jokes and the flirts from the Blood Elves themselves portray them this way, right?

Here's a list.

Male Blood Elf:

"Don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me?"
"I could really use a scrunchy... yeah, you heard me!"

Flirts:

"You look almost as good as I do."
"Hey, why don't you come over here and... WATCH THE HAIR!"
"You know what I love about your eyes, when I look deep enough, I can see my own reflection."
"Want to see my good side? Hahaha, that was a trick question, all I have are good sides."

Female Blood Elf:

"So I went to this troll spa the other day and I wound up with dreadlocks and a frigging bone in my nose! I mean come on! Who PAYS for that?"
"Do you think the expansion will make me fat?"
"I went to Undercity to get a facial. Ha! Have you seen these people? I said, 'You don't have a lower jaw and you're going to give ME a facial?' She got mad...at least I think she did. You ever heard someone talk without a lower jaw? 'Rawe-rau-werew' Ho-ho! She sounded like a murloc!"
"So you mean I'm stuck with this hair color?!"

Flirts:

"Do you believe in love at first sight? Or should I walk by again...?"
"My Mana Tap brings all the boys to the yard..."
"I'm the girl the ESRB warned you about."

So don't complain that people use the same stereotype they have in the game. Personally, I would rather see videos making fun of Blood Elves then another damn rap video with poorly done model viewer characters, on repeating terrible backgrounds, and terrible out of tune over autotuned lyrics.

I appreciate the fact that they took the time to make this video. I really do.

But it was a giant piece of horse shit. The voices made me want to throw up. Beaten dead horses, just like @Cowontheroof said. "Best video ever......" with an elongated fart?

End this series. End it before day 7. Please, for the love of Saurfang.

The only thing I don't like about Bieber jokes is that the people behind them will often turn around and go listen to other sheep music like Lady Gaga or Eminem or other such "artists," as if that's any better.

Remember when people had to be able to sing, and computers didn't do all the work? And bands put out songs that became classics, instead of this quick 3 minute radio shit that's easily forgotten in a few weeks?

Maybe I'm just a jaded musician though.
I will agree with a comment above though, at least it wasn't some "belf rapz vid."

I agree, I really love the people who rip on Justin Bieber then go out and listen to their Eminem and Dr. Dre and whatever else BS kids listen to these days. It was almost painful for me when I was student teaching a 6th grade history class. And my "background music" of Indie/Alternative music from the early 2000's was completely foreign to the kids; they insisted I play songs that seem only fitting to me if I were preparing to enter a cage fight.

I feel your pain. I talk about it so much my wife said, "Ok. We get it. You don't like it. You don't have to keep saying it over and over again." I was griping about how I can't stand Lil Wayne and Tina Mooooonage and how they were on the New Years Eve show with Carson "I"m a Major Tool" Daly. Totally ruined my New Years and I went to bed at 12:15. But I feel the same as you.

As for the video, maybe it is/was the mood I am/was in but I thought it was funny. At least they are trying to make a mecha. I enjoyed it for what it was. It's not a freakin' Scorsese, Chis Nolan, or Sam Raimi film for crying out loud.

Ugh that Carson Daly New Years show. I only watched it for a little bit, as it was after our own celebrations (I'm in Nova Scotia, Canada, an hour later than EST). What irked me even worse than the atrocious "entertainment" was that EVERYTHING was an advertisement. All those hats and things were Nivea branded, and they had people replay the ball dropping with their AT&T smartphones about two minutes after it actually happened. Pathetic.

Well I don't know about the rest of these angry critics, but I enjoyed it.

I really bust out laughing when that dude bust thru the door, grabbed the draenei by the neck and said 'you're coming you fat cow rofl. Then dropped her to the floor.

Best scene ever. And the human dude at the end watching the video. rofl
