Whoa, Fox, maybe you were kidding, but "running out of mana is not fun, no matter how much Blizzard tries to convince us otherwise" is a pretty sloppy line of reasoning; it's a misconstrual of Blizzard's words and intent, and it's a poor argument for the previous status quo.
You may as well say "dying because I DPSed the mob that was supposed to be CCed is not fun, no matter how much Blizzard tries to convince us otherwise" or "having finite hit points is not fun, no matter how much Blizzard tries to convince us otherwise."

Your argument is a straw man.
"dying because I DPSed the mob that was supposed to be CCed is not fun, no matter how much Blizzard tries to convince us otherwise" or "having finite hit points is not fun, no matter how much Blizzard tries to convince us otherwise."
That is not the same thing as what Fox is arguing for; he is arguing for parity with the other dps classes.
WoW having design = good. WoW having class imbalances = expected, but something should be done about that by the developers, and hopefully will be.
It is a bit worrisome that you seem to think the developers are beyond mistakes. Believe it or not, Blizzard employees are human. That means they can make mistakes.
Eventually, the worst class imbalances will be fixed, because Blizzard is pretty good at balancing. They're just not perfect at it, because no one can be.

Look, my friend, as a fresh 85 fire mage, I sympathize with the mana issues, so no, I don't think the developers are beyond fault.
But to just say that "running out of mana isn't fun" is to impute that a) SPriests aren't supposed to run out of mana ever and b) they're currently running out of mana no matter how well they play, and this is by design (hence "Blizzard tries to convince us otherwise").
You and I both know neither of those things are true. Fox probably knows it too, but that was a bungled way to word it. Better might have been: "Running out of mana no matter how well we finesse things isn't fun, and anyhow diverges from Blizz's stated design goal of mana mattering while still enabling players to get the job done."

Agreed.
Now can we please get back to arguing over Dispersion? I am really missing that...

... I was actually talking about healers' mana regen. I actually think shadow priests' mana regen is just about right -- finite, but not highly restrictive.
