*Prepares for a tarr and feathering*
If this happens only in Arena's, I'm okay with it.

Same. At least they only made it unavailable in arenas as opposed to nerfing it painfully in pve.

I'll go one further- and I am pretty sure i will be greyed out for it, I think there should be an arena bracket that doesn't allow you to use add ons or macros. The very concept of bringing anything outside of the standard wow UI to me shows you need more than skill to compete. I know I am in the very small minority here but really how can you take yourself serious in PvP if you need so many non player controlled advantages? Until that happens say what you want, but if you are only as good as your system, macros, add ons, then you aren't that good of a PvP player.

@Noyou
I was one of that many that greyed you out but I think I'll also offer an argument: in war as in WoW the people with the best weapons, strategy, and edge are the winners. Saying using add-ons or macros makes you bad at WoW is like saying using missile launchers and grenades makes you bad at war. The day the army declares that revolutionary war-era "stand in a line and shoot them" tactics are an effective battle strategy will also be the day that using the default ui in high-end PvP is a good idea. Add-ons and macros don't make you bad, they make you smart.

Are you kidding?
Definition of ADVANTAGE
1: superiority of position or condition
2: a factor or circumstance of benefit to its possessor
3: benefit, gain
4: tennis stuff
People use them to gain the edge over those who don't.
This doesn't mean that you need a ton of addons or macros but why would you cripple yourself by not utilizing what helps you improve?

I can agree with the statement. It should be more about outplaying the other team rather than my team has a higher damage output. I still with this were a more universal thought though and existed throughout PvP as in, even in World PvP, the Rogue has a chance of beating the Holy Paladin if he plays well enough....somehow. As it is, when a Rogue attacks me when I'm on Pally I assume they're hoping I'm Ret or something, not that they have any better chance then but if I am Holy they might as well forget it the way things are now.
