Breakfast Topic: Do your in-game pets resemble your real-life pets?

It's another raid night, and I need another mini-pet out. But there are so many options, however shall I choose? The adorable Hippogryph Hatchling? The nigh impossible-to-obtain Hyacinth Macaw? A flashy collector's edition pet? Nope, not tonight. All I want is my Orange Tabby Cat.
Why such a commonplace, easily accessible, inexpensive, almost downright boring pet, you ask? Well, because he's a mirror image of my IRL cat. When I first started playing the game, my Orange Tabby Cat and I traversed many mountains, open plains and snowy hills together. It seems fitting to bring him out on raid nights; as he was there from the beginning, so will he be with me in my final triumphs.
Are there any in-game animals that remind you of your RL furry friends? A hunter pet you bring out on special occasions? A mount you seek out on all your characters? Maybe there's one you find particularly lucky? Or perhaps you have a small, ordinary mini-pet to walk beside you in Azeroth, as your RL pet purrs on the back of your chair?

Federal law doesn't let me possess a dog with multiple heads.

Neither does it let my Willy follow me around in public

I actually allowed my pheonix hatchling to follow me around in public for a while, but it was a very jealous hatchling, as most hatchlings are. After the 4th potential date it set fire to, I have decided to leave him at home when I hit the club.

I wish I had a real life Deathy. Life would be so much more complete

I've managed to get all four wotlk spirit beasts on my hunter, and named them Lennon, Macca, Ringo and George.

Yes, albeit secretly. I don't think PETA will take kindly to my harboring of a baby polar bear.

Baby thunderchickens don't exactly exist in real life, so it'd be hard to have one next to me as I play my druid.

I must admit to having a bit of a cat obsession and pretty much all my Hunter pets are cats of varying degrees of size and colour. My favourite 'Pusscat' is a male snowy lion and damn cool!
I have a two headed core hound dog thing and they are just not up to it.
Uldum has been a zone from heaven, the land of the sandy kitty cat people, my hunter is going to retire there when he has hung up his bow.
On a seperate note, how many of you have started soloing Wrath heroics...did Violet Hold the other day and it was very good fun.

If I ever own a crap that can bat people with nerfs then I think we'll have a serious problem.
Mr. Tastix Jan 10th 2011 8:09AM
*Ahem.* I mean crab... yes...

Original post was better unmodified.

I assume you meant crab... unless there was a Mr. Hanky holiday pet that I somehow missed.

@Aticus
I checked it out and that is the ULTIMATE pet for her. It's elemental, it's shiny, and her name is Gioconda.
Gio's Geode. Must level her up to elementium NOW!!!!!

My post above was misplaced by my haste in trying to reply to two posts at once. Too early for multitasking...
As for the crab with the Nerf bat...

There is this crab in the Abyssal Depths that has the Nerfbat attack. The text on the debuff says "All skills reduced "To the ground!"".

Does double damage to paladins...

I try to make matching sets on toons. Like my frost Mage uses lil'k.t. Or I'll bring out a baby dragonhawk when I'm using my hunter pet dragonhawk. I like themes.

My Hunter's pet actually is my RL friends name not only was it a pet he helped me catch but also he was the person who introduced me to the game. Therefore even now long after he has "retired" I honor him with many pats on the head and hugs for I will always remember him the awesome paladin love you loads xoxox muah XD

My next-door neighbour looks remarkably like my Clockwork Gnome.
