What? No love for the last episode of RawrCast before they go on Hiatus?
Anne Stickney Jan 10th 2011 7:43PM
It was posted on the 10th. This post is for Jan. 3-9th. It'll be posted with next week's roundup.

Hey Anne, I was just wondering do you, or other members of the staff listen to the podcasts before posting links? I get that this would be really time consuming, and that these posts are headed with the standard disclaimer, however...
I ask because a few of these podcasters are the exact kind of people that make it on to my ignore list for being racist/sexist/homophobic morons. In fact a few of them advocate and encourage this kind of douchebaggery in game and in the name of trolling or (quite ridiculously) in the name of free speech.
You know, because the TOS is just something you click on to get past the log in.
Do members of the WoW Insider staff have an opinion on these members of the WoW community? Or should we just assume that the Roundup is hands off when it comes to these topics?

What might be right for you, may not be right for some.
Because... It takes, Diff'rent Strokes to move the world.
Yes, it does.

I think is some cases Luke is right but without sighting examples there is really no way to judge who Luke is talking about. If you don't like something don't listen best way to keep it unpopular.
As to if the staff listens, I highly doubt that Anne listens to 30 odd podcasts a week before posting this. I might be wrong. However it wouldn't surprise me if each has been listened to at once and its often hard to get a feel for a podcast based on only one episode. If you have a issue I would suggest Luke follow ups with names in Email to Anne and see what happens. Most likely nothing but might be something they were unaware of content wise.
Last if your looking for a very nice PG Warcraft Podcast I would suggest LIquid WoW.

Garthe, Sayomara, you've both made valid points.
I'm pretty certain I'd have to write a three page essay detailing all of the reasons why it's in poor taste to abuse internet anonymity at the expense of the player base. Meaning perhaps the issue at hand is of broader scope than can be covered in these comments.
In any case I think it's easy to say WoW Insider is a large part of the Warcraft community. By extension the WPR probably plays an important role in shaping or promoting Warcraft specific podcasts.
By extension I think it's reasonable to ask that they consider their policy in regard to what kind of content they link to. It's not even my place to say what WoW Insider should or should not endorse, however passively. As a reader and supporter of this website though, I'd like to know.
As a side note, one of my favorite podcasts is Rawrcast and they are hardly PG. They aren't even PC, but they also don't endorse abusing the community with ignorance and hatefulness, which is the kind of content I'm speaking of. In fact Half and Stomp seem to do everything they can to promote a better community in game and out, but fortunately they're not a bunch of tree humping hippies.
