Wow, the SV hunter nerf was, uh... harsh.

I saw a parse of raid data for DPS for all specs and classes a little while ago for Magmaw. If you take *add* beast mastery and markmanship together, then multiply by 1.15, you get survival.

Nerfs and buffs were a given.
My initial reaction as a prot warrior to the Inner Rage nerf is BOO! and nerves though. I guess it'll actually be useful for the DPS specs now--Prot was the only one that was ever swimming in rage often enough to use it. I will miss refreshing my normal Rends into +20% dmg Rends with one thunderclap.

Just to be clear, I'm working with the median values on that table. With max damage, a MM and BM just barely manage to add up to a single SV hunter.

Yeah, you might want to look more closely at the figures for BM and MM hunters in that link, they're borked...minimum values of 652 and 562 dps respectively...any hunter that does 10-11k dps in a 25-man raid in ANY spec is useless.

And that's not the point anyway. Everyone know MM and BM need a buff.
But SV is not so far ahead of other dps classes that it needs nerfs of this magnitude. Fkn ridiculous.

Um, yes, actually, it is. It's further ahead of the median DPS spec now than the very best DPS spec was ahead of the very worst spec in WotLK.
