"Well, but the thing is that Blizz has said "we don't want heroics to be easy". If you are having trouble with heroics, run normals...that's what they are there for"
As a healer (and let's face it, the healer almost ALWAYS gets blamed for wipes), I welcome any changes that make heroics more forgiving. I dislike the idea of having to spend tens of thousands of gold on crafted gear before I can reasonably expect to successfully heal a heroic PUG (I'm talking about the LFD tool here). Sure, I can run normals, but what happens when I get the last gear upgrade from them? Keep on running them for fun and a measly 75 JP per day? No MMO, or any game for that matter, is fun when you have nothing more to gain or the possible gains are very few and far between - especially for those of us who have at most a couple hours of playtime any given day.
Heroics should stand between normals and raids, with a smooth progression from one to the next. This has to stand for PUGs as well as guild groups. If it takes a few nerfs for heroic PUGs to actually succeed 90% of the time (as opposed to the 50% or less I see now), that's what Blizzard needs to do.
