Breakfast Topic: Breakfasts and topics
This Breakfast Topic has been brought to you by Seed, the Aol guest writer program that brings your words to WoW Insider's pages.
They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. The smell of sizzling bacon. The sound of the toaster as it launches your toast into the air at high speeds, and the short, minor feeling of awesome that you get as you catch the toast in mid-air. The gentle sound of milk pouring over your favorite cereal, with perhaps a sprinkling of sugar on top. The excellent taste of (no pulp) orange juice. And, of course, the WoW Insider Breakfast Topic.
A good breakfast is key to the beginning of any adventure, be it into the real world filled with stress and tension, or the World of Warcraft filled with dangerous creatures and beings who seek to do you harm. It's intimidating enough on a full stomach, and on an empty one, it's just asking for trouble. Grabbing a bit of toast -- or heaven forbid, a Pop Tart -- on the way out of the house is a poor way to start the day indeed. A true breakfast requires attention to detail and a seat at a table -- and perhaps a bit of discussion on your favorite blog.
What is your ideal breakfast? A bit of toast, perhaps an egg or two? Perhaps cold cereal, milk, and maybe a sprinkling of sugar? Whatever your meal, prepare it well, and start your day right with your fellow adventurers here at the Breakfast Topic table.

My breakfast every day before work is a bowl of oatmeal with cinnamon and fruit, a hard-boiled egg, a mug of green tea, and a protein shake. I started eating this after the morning radio show I listen to was interviewing some MMA fighters and one of them said he did the oatmeal and protein shake thing every day, and it kept him going. Works pretty well for me, since I don't get lunch for about seven hours. @_@
Having said that, no matter how healthy I eat, donuts like the ones in the picture always make me want one. Curse you for making me wonder if there's a donut shop on the way to work. Curse you, I say! :P

...and what I meant to add was that when they changed my work schedule last year, I was bummed out at first because it meant I'd be leaving half an hour later. But now I can actually participate in the Breakfast Topics. So it works out. ^_^

The blood of my fallen enemies..... or a little rasberry danish and apple juice is good too to go with my WoW Insider

The breakfast of warriors! Steak and eggs. Hold the eggs.
In the absence of steak, whatever hearty, protein rich leftovers from what my wife cooked the night before. :)

Always leftovers, every day, no exception.
Yesterday it was pizza and cheese bread
Today it's orange beef with white rice.
Tomorrow it will be turkey with mushroom soup and potatos.

Yep. My breakfast is like rolling a 20 sided die- could be oatmeal, could be leftovers. Could be cake. Every now and then I will give breakfast it's due but on a day to day basis it is devoured in a fraction of the time it takes to prepare :)

That doesn't sound especially healthy.

Buttered toast and tea. I find I wave up earlier and earlier to get my delicious bread-foodage. . .

My dad made me an awesome Bacon sarnie for lunch whilst I'm trying to do uni coursework. Time for a brew to warm up my hands I think :)

Breakfast Topics here usually occur at 3am. I'm usually asleep and dreaming about eating giant marshmallows at that time.

Personally, when the toast pops out, I'd like to try and throw cheese on it, and slice it in two with my 'Sword of Justice' all while the toast is mid-air...
But I prefer fruit in the morning and a light-snack around 10.

Tea. Toast. Bacon, sausage, fried egg, black pudding potato scone, fried mushrooms, grilled tomato.
Stabbityfun Jan 12th 2011 8:15AM
Croissant and marmalade with coffee oh yes...or cold pizza for some reason.
jealouspirate Jan 12th 2011 8:16AM
I usually have some cereal at home and a coffee once I get to work.
The day I look forward to all week is Saturday morning, where I can sleep in til about 8:00am (yes, this is sleeping in to me), get up and play some WoW. Then a loving family member brings me a hot mug of coffee. It's just the best. It's the geeky adult version of my Saturday morning cartoon time as a kid.
Samutz Jan 12th 2011 8:18AM
Scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, and ham.
Unfortunately, I have job so I usually have a cup of coffee and whatever's lying around the office at the time.
