What you need to understand is that a fair amount of players don't have a problem with the difficulty per se, but the difficulty of them combined with the length of the instances, further combined with some leftover 'we don't need CC' PuG (WotLK) mentality. Most people don't have 2+ hours to dedicate to getting through the deadmines (hc) as they have other commitments, and would much rather the chance to complete a dungeon in an hour so they can do more than 1 a night. I can understand the hardcore raiders done want an easy mode, but you need to understand the majority of players are more casual, and that's where Blizzards income is coming from. If you alienate the casual players, they lose a lot of money from cancelled subs.
