I'm not sure that's what GC is saying. I don't think he's saying, "I know you ALL want it 'this' way, but we would rather do 'this.'" He is saying that SOME people say they want it to be different, and he wants to validate the opinion and let them know that they have been heard, but that he believes that the larger population is served better in the long run by doing things the way they are.

Just because he is admitting to having heard and considered a certain opinion, does not make that opinion correct or in the majority.
