This video, The End of the World As We Know It, was created by World of Filkcraft. I think it's actually my favorite video of its kind. This isn't because the video itself is groundbreaking, although it's a great backdrop to the song, but because I enjoyed their rendering of the song so much. Maybe I'm just a filk fan, but I like the way the creators put the music together.

Oh, look. Someone made a Cataclysm video to the song "It's the End of the World as we Know it". Again.
Alright. I guess this isn't COMPLETELY old and overdone.

I actually already had this one on favs. I love REM, so I like how he sounds like them and I love the lyrics to this one.
And you can NEVER have too much REM.

That was pretty awesome. I usually don't like WoW-parody songs, but this one was well done and very informative. So informative, I'm sending it to a friend who hasn't played Cataclysm yet.

Have to say, this sucks ass pretty bad. The vocals just don't do it for me, the echoy affect is completely unnecessary and just makes my head hurt. The video itself isn't stunning and just doesn't have that 'shine' that most videos have these days.
imo i'd rather watch imma tree, and I'm a straight female. So thats saying something.

((Note, this is only so blunt because I don't see how a clever lyric with decent vocals 'sucks ass', so responding to the blunt with blunt! With a touch of humor. ))

Seriously, 'I'ma tree'? Where she had no emotion and no attitude and it was ALL about the boobies bouncin? At least this guy has some talent!
And he sounds like REM a bit too. Which is impressive.
...Have you never jammed to REM? Wait, don't answer that. If you say this 'sucks ass' and that 'I'ma tree' is better, you must have trouble with awesome songs. Just by virtue of lyrics + actual emotional inflection = better than I'ma tree ever was.

In all honesty, Great Big Sea did It's the End of the World as we Know it waaaay better than REM ever could. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K71UbC1EaSE the song sounds better when sung insanely fast. The REM version sounds sluggish.
I wasn't very eloquent. It's not seriously my taste when you see all the machinima they have out now with higher vocal quality/ higher video quality. He sounded like he was stumbling over some lyrics and for a final version you should have your kinks worked out.
Sure my comparison to imma tree was my trollface peeking out. Imma tree was terrible.

I am the "spicegirls" of the machinima world. Except they probably have more talent.
Well, I liked this version. Very nice lyrically, it's a fun song.

Actually liked this one better than Nyhm's. The lyrics seemed to flow a lot better and wasn't as forced as the other. Of course there are more out there that I haven't seen yet (apparently)...but this is a very good one. Maybe another part is I'm also sick and tired of nearly every WOW music video being nothing but R&B, hip hop, or rap junk.

I quite enjoyed this video. It was better than some of the other songs I've heard with the same base song and the lyrics actaully made me laugh. Well done!

Okay Lyrics? - Exceptionally well done.
The rest? ... meh?
The vocals were mixed poorly, as was the backing music, and he was stumbling through several of the lyrics. Not that they were particularly EASY ones, but a few more takes and a better mixing program might have helped it not sound like was recorded inside a trash can in his dorm bathroom.
