@wowOne method isn't inheritly better than the other. Some people are less coordinated at a keyboard than others, some have slower reaction time with a mouse. When you have the length of a global cooldown to move the pointer, then, yeah, its faster to key mash (at least for most people). When you have a 2 second (or longer) cast to do so, frantically clicking or mashing isn't going to make much of a difference. If you're easily confused with one method versus the other though, THEN it can make a difference to favor one method or another.
