To the topic at hand, I bought my girlfriend WoW in 2009 when it was $5, though it took her over a year to start playing. Which was right before all her exams and projects were due in December, so she barely played, then we went home for Xmas and she doesn't have reliable internet at her parents. Since we've got back she's been playing more than me. And in that time, she's also gotten her sister and DM friend to start playing.
