I agree with Joseph, at least somewhat. It's not made 100% clear that those were Alliance ships that attacked the goblins. I'm not firmly convinced. It just makes no sense, otherwise why would they have held Thrall hostage and not killed him when there were supposed to be "no witnesses"? What were they planning to do with him? No, the more you think about it, the less it makes sense that those ships were sailed and sanctioned by the Alliance. And I'm Horde and I can see that.
