There are 3 talent trees. The pure dps classes can have one tree specifically for pvp dps that gives them boosts that cancel out any advantages that a hybrid class would be able to get.

They hybrid classes tank or heal runs to gear up anyway, and pure dps classes just run with their guilds to gear up.

The QQing about "my class is middle of the pack so it's unplayable" is STILL BS. Unless a geared up mage can't keep up when it's played right, then it is certainly playable. People are just whining because they want to blow other classes out of the water all the time when all things are equal. They shouldn't. There should be, and are, fights where melee is better than ranged or vice-versa, but all thing being equal they should be the same.
