Good lyrics. But she pulled a lil bit of a taylor swift--most of her layers were off tune. I'm sure us perfect pitch people noticed it. Still, funny.
P.S.--from the diaphragm! with gusto!

I don't have "perfect pitch". What I DO have is 12 years of orchestral training behind me, and I can say with a certainty that no, they weren't. Mildly flat or sharp about three times, perhaps, but in this she quickly compensated to the point that it was barely noticeable - not bad at all for an amateur! Give this girl some voice instruction and watch out! One time she came in VERY flat but when the building progression began, you immediately noticed that it was purposeful in a sort of R&B/folksey fashion, which I found to be quite interesting, actually.
I think that the harmonizing could have been better and there could definitely have been a lot more emphasis (once more, with feeling!) behind it - but this isn't someone who's signed on with Arista or cutting a demo with this fun little piece. That doesn't make her any less enjoyable, and considering that she isn't TRYING to sound like she's a pro (unlike a few individuals in the past that have been featured here), it's actually quite refreshing to listen to!

This is why I hate people who take their hobbies/professions too seriously.
An average joe like me didn't hear anything wrong with it.
