Meh. I really appreciate this change, since when my first toon hit 85, he was stuck doing boring regulars and somehow ending up with Stonecore every time I queue'd up for a daily random. I ended up buying a few crafted PVP blues to bump myself up. (Nevermind that I was already out-DPSing people on my very first heroic)
Personally, I think that heroics should require a DPS check for damage, and "performance checks" for tanks and healers. I mean, if I'm pulling 13k pre-heroics while the guy with 2 epics are barely pulling 6k, there's a problem. That goes the same for healers who are "being conservative" and let everyone in the group die. (Don't tell me you haven't run into those)
Dunno, it just sucks to be stuck with idiots who can't play properly. As Blizz said, they want heroics to be what it sounds like: Heroics. If you can't figure out your own class's mechanics, stick to regulars.
