Around Azeroth: Boom, like that
Extra-furry worgen druid Cazic of Wyrmrest Accord (US-A) writes, "I was fresh out of a battleground when my friend started talking about a fireworks show going on in the Cathedral District. 'Fireworks?' I asked myself. 'But it's not the Fourth of July.' So I flew as fast as my little gryphon could go when BAM, fireworks started flying. Oohs and ahhs could be seen, the chat box flooding with emote after emote. I figure that if Wyrmrest Accord is awesome enough to have events like this on a regular basis, they should get a little love, don't you?"

I saw this and instantly thought of the ending of mario kart.

Also WRA is an amazing server, If all my friends weren't on a different server and i wasnt in a different time zone I would totally reroll on there (and not just have an alt there).

It's not a spontaneous firework display - it is currently Chinese New Year, isn't it?
Zanaji Jan 25th 2011 10:40AM
WrA has a couple people who organize fireworks shows privately. Saw one on my first night of re-rolling there and made a point to thank the organizer (donated some gold to his fireworks fund too).

And they do it all year long, so while not "spontaneous" it doesn't really have anything to do with Lunar Festival/Chinese New Year

Really? That's very cool! Also, forgot to say that that is a lovely screenshot - very Disney.

Indeed. A guild called "Order of Creation" does these shows often.

Do you laugh or sigh at the thought that fireworks only happen on the Fourth of July.
Killik Jan 25th 2011 10:54AM
Definitely - fireworks only happen on the 5th November!

I didn't notice it was supposed to be fireworks. I instantly thought of the onyxia wipe video's 'moar dots. moar dots.'

I attended the last two nights these fireworks have been in the sky. I was immensely impressed the first time, and the second time was still amazing.
Horde-side, to the best of my knowledge, doesn't do anything like this. Both Alliance and Horde are active with their RP, sure, but when it comes to events like THIS... methinks we (Alliance) win the day -- or night, all depending on one's perspective.
I can't help but wonder if the guild who does all this is recruiting...
Wark Jan 25th 2011 7:50PM
Definitely are. Let any ol' bastard in. Just talk to History.
Swiftclaw Jan 25th 2011 12:54PM
Horde doesn't do fireworks, no.
We plaguebomb Southshore. :)

Can you do it repeatedly, however? Can you 'ooh' and 'aah' people with it?
If you say yes, I'ma have to kick someone in the head...

Messier for King of Stormwind.
