Woodbossii asked:
Why is the cathedral in Stormwind basically empty except for cultist actions in the basement?
There are trainers there for first aid, along with the priest and paladin classes. I visited there often when leveling my priest.
Jbg asked:
I'm just starting heroics; are they all relatively equal in terms of difficulty, or are some easier than others?
Honestly, they're all challenging in their own regard. Try to go with a guild group first, or else you'll be so put off by your pugging experience, you might not want to go back. The worst heroic, in my opinion, is Grim Batol. I've only done that once in a PUG, and only twice with guild groups. If there's not the right DPS composition or people just overgear the damn place, you can be screwed on the last boss. Not to mention the other handful of bosses that all, for some reason, make standing in fire a very challenging thing.
Travy asked:
Any plans on making commentary viewable on the mobile version of the WoW Insider website? I know when I am at work in the morning I would love to participate in things like the Breakfast Topic ... but switching my phone from viewing mobile versions of websites to their full version just to post one comment can be a real bother.
It should work. Point your phone to i.wow.joystiq.com, and it'll load up the mobile version of the site, complete with comments. I use that just about every day.
Klysandral asked:
Will Blizzard ever implement the upgrade to the 16-slot backpack? I seem to remember there was talk at one point that the 16-slot backpack would scale with level and increase in slots.
Blizzard's talked about wanting to do it before, but we've heard there are technical limitations to it all. At this point, I think there's more they can do than rewrite seven-year-old item storage code. Things like tabard storage and more prolific mobile bank access are easier to do.

Cathedral might be empty for you because once you start the Twilight Highlands quest the cathedral is instanced until you finish that intro quest line.
ghola Jan 25th 2011 11:04AM
not instanced - phased rather
Woodbossii Jan 25th 2011 11:12AM
Yea i noticed that also after I put in the question yesterday.
Kuro Jan 25th 2011 12:16PM
So.. phased Stormwind cathedral? I don't have any upper-level alliance toons. Was the subject of that datamined Benedictus audio clip part of the alliance Twilight Highlands questing? (I'd finished the ones for the Horde and no Rommath to be seen.)
Vaeku Jan 25th 2011 12:42PM
@Kuro
No, it seems they scrapped the idea that Benedictus and Rommath were cultists and replaced them with minor characters.
Really disappointing actually, would explain why Rommath never used magic attacks for all those years... He was just insane.
Phort Jan 25th 2011 5:20PM
Were they originally going to have The Black Bishop be the cultist Benedictus?
SaintStryfe Jan 25th 2011 6:58PM
it could just be it hasn't happened yet...
Yada Jan 25th 2011 10:14PM
This is bang on. When you trail Anduin around, you eventually get to the leader of SI:7 who sends you to find his agent in the ruined Old Barracks. That agent sends you to the cathedral basement to kill the Black Bishop and save the day. If you fly into the cathedral quickly enough, you'll see all the normal denizens of the upper floor (trainers etc.) phase out and disappear as you move to the catacombs.

what is the actual number cap for guild rep weekly? i have seen lots and lots of diff answers, but not a definite one. and do things like the human racial and guild perks affect the cap or just the rate you get to it?
The Dewd Jan 25th 2011 11:19AM
When Cata first came out and the "you have maxed your guild rep" message was still in the game, folks in my guild were capped at 3500 rep. I don't know if the human racial or the guild perk bonuses affect that, though.
Nathanyel Jan 25th 2011 11:23AM
The cap is indeed affected by both the human racial as the two ranks of the guild perk:

Both the rep perk and the human racial increase the actual Guild Rep CAP, along with how fast you gain the rep.
And, they stack.

What was at the place of the Twilight Highlands before the Shattering? I have no clue anymore, anyone does? :)
Also, the first question didn't really get an answer. There used to be some high priests and guards at the alter, what happened to them?(not to bitch, I'm also wondering myself!)
Lotice Jan 25th 2011 11:16AM
Absolutely nothing was there.
It was essentially a couple of mountains and then the ocean.
MikeLive Jan 25th 2011 11:18AM
I was going to ask the same thing! Surely it wasn't called Twilight Highlands before Twilight Hammer got there. It was certainly settled by Wildhammer Dwarves and Dragonmaw Orcs for a long time though, as well as the Black and Red Dragonflights.
If you mean what was there in-game, it was just unimplemented terrain, some of it just flat with simple textures. Really boring.
EbonyIvory Jan 25th 2011 12:03PM
I think that is was simply called Khaz Modan according to Day of the Dragon, the book sure sounds like it takes place in the Twilight Highlands now that we know whats there.
Drakkenfyre Jan 25th 2011 12:36PM
Lots of the areas that were added to the game were nothing. Empty areas with terrain texture and nothing else. Uldum was added to the empty space between Un'Goro Crater and Silithus. Before it was there, the only thing that was there was empty terrain, messed up geometry (spikes in the middle of nowhere) and a cliff at the edge that went down to the ocean.
A couple of areas they actually added places to. Gilneas used to be a square piece of land with absolutely nothing in it except multiple ground textures, and some trees and a path which gave the impression of it going down to somewhere from the front gate. The area was walled off, and only wall jumping got you in. When the expansion was launched, the entire area was expanded, and the city actually put in.
Kurly Jan 25th 2011 12:09PM
basically ocean.
Look here for a map the way it used to look...

The priests and trainers are still in the SW Cathedral--unless you're on the TH/Anduin quest chain. Then the Cathedral's interior is phased.
Go in there any other time, before starting the chain, or after completion, and Laurena & Co. are all still there, as are all the paladin and first aid trainers, the reagent vendor, the altar boy, and godmoding Brother Sarno who knows everyone's class at a glance when they walk in the door.
One of the rooms has been removed, so everyone's now in the room to the right as you enter, and I think there's only one way down to the catacombs now.
WoWie Zowie Jan 25th 2011 11:10AM
grim batol is pretty hard and so is the stonecore.
among the "easier" of the heroics i'd suggest blackrock caverns and tol'vir
