"The third, Renegade Strength, triples a target's health and reduces damage taken by 90%."This seemed far too good to be true so I looked at the tooltip - which seems to state the buff only reducing Area of Effect damage.Obviously it's still a nice thing to channel on the tank, but (especially in cata) triple health isn't hugely useful, it still takes just as much mana to heal them up to a safe level - only time it would be useful is if you're doing it without CC and so the healer is spamming his largest heal(s) as quick as possible, but if you're doing that I imagine you're fairly confident you can handle it anyway :)Would be amazing if it did in fact reduce all damage by 90%, but I'm afraid I'll believe the tooltip for now - I hope you have some other info proving the tooltip wrong, I often run with a spriest and it would be lovely to be able to slack (I'm a healer) on those last few pulls before the boat.I don't play a priest but the article is ridiculously informative, and it must've taken a huge amount of time to put together - thanks for the good read :)

The best way to use Renegade Strength is to NOT heal while it's up.The channeled spell is shorter than the cooldown, so you end up with a period of buff followed by a short period of no buff. Since the current health stays proportionate when the buff goes up (ie. if you had 300 health and it increased your HP x10, you'd have 3000 health) and down, that means that your heals are doing practically nothing when the buff is up. Don't waste your mana.Instead, watch the cooldown on the buff. If you land a big heal when the buff is off, you can add anywhere from 20-30% of their health, and a couple seconds later, the Shadowpriest can bring the buff back up - again making damage and healing against them entirely insignificant, and totally outdoing any healing you could have done in their buffed state, with far less mana cost.TLDR: Heal when the buff is off, not on.

When you cast this on melee they get (roughly) 90k crits on abilities, that alone is worth the channel

Two words:Enraged Regeneration.

A few more words: Last Stand. Victory Rush. 140k self-heals are fun. Also, Vengeance caps out based on max health. And Vengeance is Awesome. True story.
