There is another detail on Ozruk that I -as a hunter- dislike. Not one of my DoTs reflect off him! I can keep throwing Serpent Sting, Black Arrow and Explosive Shots at him, to no avail. The only way I can actually get a DoT on myself to avoid Paralyze is to know exactly when the cast begins, and chug a Sulfuron Slammer just before it casts - or just forget about that dps thing I should be doing and go be a melee hunter.
If I mistime drinking, the healer hasn't specced into removing magic debuffs, or hasn't got time to dispel me - I will most likely die from eating that 50k damage a few times when healer is busy keeping the tank up. Not to mention that even if I actually manage to time it right and get that short DoT on myself for each cast, a few mistimed and wasted Sulfuron Slammers will result in the Drunken Vomit debuff...

The hunters I run with try to get into minimum range, then they hop in, hit a melee attack and then Disengage as soon as they have the DoT.

A healer that hasn't specced into removing magic debuffs doesn't have a whole lot of business healing in a heroic, unless he's always there with a shadow priest.
The lost DPS isn't really any more than what the ranged casters lose when there's nobody with an offensive dispel to take the spell-reflect down early (but hopefully after they've dotted themselves up.) Or the melee loses by constantly running away from the shatters.
I mean, if you can cheese the mechanics with disengage or a flavor item, cool, but it's not an unbearable hardship.
