- When: Sunday, Jan. 30 at 1 p.m. EST (10 a.m. PST, 11 a.m. server time)
- Where: The Lunar Festival near the flightpath in Orgrimmar on Zangarmarsh (US-PvE-H)
- Who: Any level Horde character is welcome, but you will probably have the most fun with your highest-level character.
- What: Fun, achievements including Elders of the Alliance, more fun
- How: Ask Robinator or any member of <Blogling> for an invite if you are not already in one of our guilds.

- Elders of the Alliance
Rules and tips for Lunar Lunacy
- We will have an event chat room announced in the guild info on the day of the event. Instructions will be made in this chat.
- I will also be streaming the event and be giving more detailed instructions verbally.
- No shouting except for me. I use all caps in our event chat so that I can be "heard" over everyone else.
- No funsuckers allowed. If you spam, have an offensive name or are otherwise behaving in a way that sucks everyone else's fun, you will be kicked without warning.
- Summons and rezzes are for sissies. We won't be waiting for those who lag behind -- we won't have time. So grab your body and catch up as fast as you can.
- This could get messy. Since we have announced our intention to get Elders of the Alliance, we may have opposition. Expect to die ... a lot.
- It's all about fun.

This sounds pretty fun! I might have to actually come. Too bad I have no high leveled characters but I can always make a DK. ^.^

Loved Lunar Festival now that you can fly around grabbing the Elders (and soloing regular WOTLK dungeons). Managed to get it on the first day in a couple of dedicated hours!
Should be a fun event here.

Sebastien here... this reminds me of the midsummer fire festival we had, that was tons of fun. I've been so busy doing my high end raiding on my main (Alliance, alas) that I haven't had the chance to play much on my Horde server (Zangarmarsh cuz of you all!).
Hopefully I'll be able to join in but not 100% sure I can make it. :/

I'd like to add, anyone who plans to make a DK for the event, please remember it takes a few hours to get through the DK starting zone even if you're familiar with the quests. You'll want to make your DK and get through the starting zone some time before the event if you want to be ready to join us in time.

Out of curiosity, how active is this guild outside of events?

There are members on every night, there's usually someone to talk to. Because many of us are not interested in raiding, and a lot of us have several lowbie alts, scraping together folks for guild dungeon runs/heroics can be a pain if its Alt night.
But there's usually someone on that can help you with a group quest or answer a question. There's some fun RP toons on to carry on a conversation and always someone to vent about your PUG to.

There are three guilds:
Blogling: The event guild.
It came from the Blog: for levels 1 to 54.
The Insiders: levels 55+
The Insiders are a level 13 guild, which means they are very, very active. The two main guilds share a global chat channel for guild chat.
I recently moved my main character to Zangarmarsh because the guild family is so fun and friendly.

The family of guilds is the WoW Insider official guild. So we not only have our own post, we have our own category!

Lunar lunacy is redundant. They're both based on the same root, luna, meaning moon. Lunatics, suffering lunacy, were thought to be made mad by the moon.
