In Revenge (Act 2), we get a little more insight to why Nixxiom has launched his crusade against Arthas. We also get the hint that Nixxiom's pals might have somehow been involved in betrayal.
This video is technically a preview. But it clocks in at 10 minutes and has a more fully developed plot than many full machinimas I've seen. My hat's off to Nixxiom and Silverlined Productions for this.
Revenge (Act 2) is a very moody piece, featuring a lot of good old-fashioned brooding angst time. Considering the events in the main character's life, that's pretty justified. However, now that the story has been built up and framed, it should be exciting to see the action in the next release. Interested in the wide world of machinima? We have new movies every weekday here on WoW Moviewatch! Have suggestions for machinima we ought to feature? Toss us an email at moviewatch@wowinsider.com.
Even tho I think the main char has a Sue Mary complex (I mean, a Death Knight to think he can kill Arthas is as stupid as a Fire Elemental to think he can kill Ragnaros), the fight between the two was really awesome. Looking forward to see more of this.
Who said that he is going to succeed in that? Maybe he'll just fail miserably or give a Lore hero the chance to do the final kill (think of the Illidan fight in TBC).
A Sue complex? Defeating someone stronger than you doesn't make one a Sue. Breaking the fabric of the world to the point of nothing bad ever happening to the individual because they're so gosh darned perfect and awesome is what creates a Sue (ie: I killed Ragnaros, C'thun, Ygg'Saron, the Lich King and Deathwing without breaking breaking a nail! I never even got close to dying! Not once!). Is Nix ever-powerful? Of course not, he was under-handed the entire fight--Arthas clearly had the upper hand. N assembled an army from what we saw--and he did so by killing innocent people. He's not right in the head, if anything, and secondly it didn't really look like his army was doing a good job (buying him time, I'd reckon). If this was a Sue, he would have recruited all but the most powerful people to help him because he would be *so* charismatic (and more than likely, have everyone in said group adore/fawn over him because he would be just *so* amazingly handsome). I think the Sue-accusation-bat is being thrown around too easily now-a-days (which is sad, considering we got a whole article on it a while ago).
Them directly selling the product using Blizzard models and etc would, as I understand it, be illegal. However, if you wish to support Nix and Co with their machinimating, a lot of Machinimists take donations so they can live working on their craft (see: Myndflame, Oxhorn). Donations usually go to things like buying equipment to make better products and... y'know... Pizza rolls. So they can, uh, y'know--live.
Act 1 is uploaded to my youtube page. It was my first ever decent video so don't expect a masterpiece, but you can watch it there. However, before I release Act 2 I will be re releasing Act 1 as a 10 minute video that prepares the audience for the Act 2 movie. This is something I may touch on in the coming weeks should I decide to create a Q&A video about the trilogy itself. Feel free to ask me any questions you want and I will address them the best I can without spoiling anything.

If ten minutes is a preview, the finished product could easily be an hour long. I could see myself buying this.

I know they can't sell it, I was actually trying to express the quality of work shown.
