The Queue: How much Keeffe is in this movie, anyway?
So what if I'm on an MST3K kick this weekend? Is there any better kick on which to be?
Hal asked:
When Hand of Light triggers for my ret paladin, the icon for Divine Storm lights up on my bar. As far as I can tell, though, Divine Storm doesn't interact with Holy Power in any way. Is this a bug, or am I missing something?
Divine Storm originally dealt damage based on the number of holy power charges you had, but that was changed. It just hasn't been removed from the spell alert list for Hand of Light yet.
Charles W. Moore Jr. asked:
I have not seen this particular issue with any guild yet, but if certain guild rewards are linked to guild rep, as is currently true, if a member of a guild is kicked out of that guild, for either serious or joke reasons, do they lose all of their rep with that guild, and thus their abilities to access certain guild rewards?
You maintain your rep with a guild until you join another guild, and you cannot buy guild rewards when not in a guild.
Brian asked:
I recently discovered that you can gain reputation with (in my case) the Alliance factions by wearing their tabard into content that I severely outgear (say, while farming SM for profession mats for my alts). Any word on if this is by design or if it will be fixed some day? I never finished maxing out my rep with Gnomeregan or Darnassus in Wrath, so this seems like it may be too good to be true (+3 rep per trash kill and +63 rep per boss kill with my level 83 warrior).
It's by design. You gain about five times as much rep running the dungeon at its appropriate level.
Ikarus asked:
You were a blue? I had no idea. So can I ask a favor? I'm sure you still have some connections. Would you mind asking someone to stop by the arcane mage threads and give us a heads up?? Thanks. :)
It's disingenuous to maintain a mystique like I'm important or influential with Blizzard designers because, honestly, I have no pull whatsoever in these kinds of things. You'll notice I don't write much that's class-related. I leave high-level theorycrafting to people who're actually good at it.
I still have plenty of friends at Blizzard, mind you. And they're all pretty cool people. So I don't ask anyone work-related stuff. That way they still have jobs and I still have friends.

If you follow the links I've posted; I'm not the only one who had heard of them wanting to do that.
Confirming that, for once, it's not just the crazy little voice in my head.

That was meant to go to with the thread I made about UC changes.
Oh comment system, foiled again.

I Recently Asked - WTF is up with with stupid numbers of flasks in cauldrons?
I can understand 7, kinda, if your not in a raiding Guild. 5man HC's are hard wut wut.
7 for a 10 man is crap, even if you get a 'Perk' @ guild lvl wutever to make it 10, that doesnt help my 10 man group in the guild where we havent reached that goal yet. We still 3 short.
But 17 for 25 man raiding guild? Even the 'Perk' only takes you upto 20. That still 5 short.
Make another Cauldron for the other 5?, using up 4 flasks to make another 10 which is 5 over.
Why couldnt they have just gone a made them for specific raid types instead - 10 for 10 man 25 for 25?
Thats 2 Questions right there. D:

Anyone able to tell me why the horde has 3 differant symbols, and what each one of them means? Are each for some differant faction of the horde? I there is the typical sharp, and pointy symbol , as seen on the ToC sheild and the horde supply crates. You see this one most often. It SEEMS to be more popular one used since WotLK.

Then there is the one that is curved at the top and seems more "tribal". you can also see it carved into the captains doorway on any of the large areal horde gunships, and all over the frost wolf keep in AV, and in some of the pre-BC horde locations that havn't been "cata'ed". On the new flag decorations in org it seems more subserviant to the former. Kinda like how in America, all other flags are flown below the american flag.

finaly there is one we see less of, it's usualy blue and two seperate markings making up a main symbol, mainly i've seen it in agmars hammer in dragon blight, and in the twilight highlands at dragonmaw port, but i know i've seen it around in other places too.

I hope this gets answered, this is a very good question, though I doubt the Queuemasters will know.
My theories (and these are just theories, I have seen absolutely NOTHING to verify this in-game, this is just based on what you said):
The first may be the generic symbol. Indeed, that's the one I've seen most of all. I think that symbolises the Horde as a whole.
The second one seems to indicate important missions or people, perhaps? As signified by the AV keep and being on gunships, which are pretty damned important. Same with the city - lots of high ups and importance going on there. Though if you see it in typical camps or outposts that theory is shot to hell. *Or*, it could be that while the first symbol is for the Horde, the second one is for the orcs.
The third - maybe it symbolises negociations and alliances, and/or fighting against a common enemy. In Agmar's Hammer, we take in the Taunka. In Dragonmaw Port, we ally with the Dragonmaw. I haven't noticed it before though, curious. It also looks like a blue version of the first, with the top chopped off.
I doubt Blizz would put that much depth into something they don't explain, but who knows? That blue one's really odd though.
Fletcher Jan 30th 2011 2:46AM
I believe that the third is the Kor'kron symbol; the second is the original Horde symbol, with its roots all the way back in Warcraft: Orcs and Humans; and the first is the "modern" Horde symbol, updated for whatever reason.
I could be wrong, but that's my 2c.

When might we see the introduction of epic gems and cuts? I've been hording pyrite ore and tokens for weeks now.
Xantenise Jan 30th 2011 1:34AM
I think this got answered in a previous Queue, the estimate was 4.1 at the earliest or something.
Xantenise Jan 30th 2011 1:36AM
With an Arch fragments cap coming in the next patch, will that mean everything above the cap will be lost? I haven't got my priest's archaeology to 100 yet so I've been hoarding fragments. I have a crapton of nelf ones I don't want to lose!
zebbcoo Jan 30th 2011 11:02AM
I have reached exalted with all home cities and still get message for gaining alliance rep. Gilneas is honored and does not go up with these gains so what happens to these reputation points? Do they just not exist anywhere?

Where are my shoes?
As a bear I have lots of options, but I've recently gone on an offspec gearing kick. Unfortunately I've been walking around barefoot for almost two weeks in my healing gear because there doesn't seem to be any healing leather shoes (let alone anything that resembles something a leather caster would want) in heroics anywhere.
Am I missing something here, or am I destined to walk barefoot until my feet calouses are considered leather in their own right?

Decapod Slippers (Heroic ToT) (http://www.wowhead.com/item=56277)
Exactly the same, but BoE from a rare in Twilight Highlands, are Tarvus's Poison-Scarred Boots (http://www.wowhead.com/item=67245)
And then there are of course the BoE ones bought with Valor Points (?) but I tend to skip the ones that will likely be too expensive for me. :-)

You know what would have been even better than sitting at home watching MST3K all weekend? Going to B-Fest and essentially participating in the same sort of thing: http://www.b-fest.com/lineup.html
Too bad you missed it: this year's films were excellent. (Well, you know what I mean.)

There's only one thing better to be on a kick on....... Doctor Who ;)

Hey! Where are my royalties?
Cephas Jan 30th 2011 1:18PM
Ok, so apparently everyone else knows that Tabard rep is different from no-Tabard rep. I'm the idiot here, so you can feel free to just ignore my earlier comment or downvote it into oblivion.

Hello Queue'ians.
Quick question. I'm a member of an awesome guild on an RP server. A few of us are contemplating creating some horde toons on a PvP server. We'd like to deck out some toons with heirloom gear then transfer them to the PvP server to get a leg up.
If I buy the guild heirloom cloak on one of my guild toons can I transfer that cloak to a horde toon who obviously isn't in the guild. Next, if I can transfer said cloak, can I then transfer that toon to another server keeping the cloak?
Thanks
