I don't really need to read guides or anything for my jewelcrafting. I spend about 15 minutes a day reposting expired auctions, checking costs, and buying, cutting, and reposting raw gems in the profitable cuts that I'm out of stock in. (I could mine it, but I've found that i'd rather make a little less profit and buy the uncut rares than spend an hour mining eternium and getting almost all uncommons.) On busy raid nights, I'll check in 2-3 times through the evening and fix undercuts. I play on an rp server with perhaps a dozen raid guilds, and I still make between 500 and 3000 gold profit a day. On a pve server... well...
